One thing to note, if you juice the towers next to a citadel with waystone quantity, you can get additional fragments. Over 500% I usually get 3 fragments, got 4 fragments with over 1000%.

Bro the tower isn't even bad it's short and you can run straight to the end if you want, sure they could add a few more layouts , but overall it's fine for just being start of EA. The endgame was only worked on for a few months, it'll get better .

Great video, I'm currently 91, omw to 92 and I feel a bit like a headless chicken, trying to get to towers, but easily getting distracted by a map that already has a breach or altar, and just running that because I like the mechanics. I will try to be more patient and try this setup!

Yea same thing here just tried this today and could only see in act 3. Also when i use a tablet on the tower it doesn't apply the suffix at all only the prefix.

Coming to Ziggurat (Past) seems to fix the towers ONLY for Zuggurat's map device. In my HO, when I click the device, it still doesent show circles

I feel like a cat in a room with 100 laser pointers with how much I reroll. I swear 1.0 will come out berofe I'll enter red maps. But as per usual - a good and informative video. BIG thanks for clarification on Tower infulence bug. Because it was killing me not to have it. Though I do feel that once out first league will begin - maps start feeling more "usual" if you know what I mean. As well as - I really REALLY hope that GGG will expand on the "biome" idea with the "you drop sanctum coins in deserts" e.t.c. So we would have a (inevitable) Celestial or Eldrich biomes. Because this new Atlas has SO MUCH potential it's not even funny. (Also sextands "Alva jumping" into PoE 2 to become tablets and be used on towers is deeply funny to me)

After you get breaches or whatever you want added to the map in terms of mechanics, can you then add on other mechanics? Like instead of irridating, after you have your breach on everything, can you start adding in ritual as well?

when you mean everything in range of the tower, do you mean even non breach maps? cause i do remember having a stat that says that an additional breach on a regular non breach map, any idea what's that about?

Certain mod combos result in Maps of nature of mainly corpse explode or other on death effect, For EA, I think Map is a good start but fails atm to highlight deadly events in areas which are all but the wide open land map tiles. My feedback, curious on anyones opinions DD all types is so Painfully Unfun, it Kills, but does it test player skill other than a particular approach to maps which makes a neural path after X deaths if it's understood 50div upgrades later DD then doesnt kill? Is that journey fun though? No, aspects yes, but the process foundations hurts the game. I get why the mobs are all how they are, how the mobs are deployed in groups of the same categories as other types but match each tier in terms of challenge presented. Mobs should be about dodge role when you enter combat, not watch out for white mob purple DD i can;t see as map decoration/ unclear tileset is being played from which hides indicators otherwise more easily picked up in open areas of ALL Maps.

If you're not playing 30% deli with distilled greed you're missing out :D Distilled greed on t15 is better than running t15+2 maps. So yeah +2 could be useful for those t13s but overall you should try distilled greed or paranoia if you're already fully MF geared up and can handle 36% deli. That combined with breach is just fkin crazy and i love it ! People complain about end game being boring and maps not having enough density, but they haven't even reached the end game level of 80% deli we had in poe1 and they complain anyway. Deli system is like a mix of blighted map oils and delirium which has great potential for risk vs reward system as we have only 1 portal :) I have only played with Paranoia and Greed so far but I can only imagine how crazy it gets with the most expensive distilled emotions.

Actually been thinking about it, is rarity from distilled greed a multiplier to map rarity or it just adds on top of rarity on map? Probably want to run greed on high pack size and Increased rare monsters maps and guilt (gives pack size) or paranoia on high rarity quantity maps?

I'd argue that it's simply doing the same shit as when ya first started maps, just a higher mob density. Mapping in PoE 2 is just an illusion of progress. It's like standing in an empty pool and as the water fills up you see the water level rise, but in the end you are still just standing in the pool.

I like to get the towers first, especially when there bad map layouts on the path you want to take. But sometimes I do put in tablets early if I have to path through good maps to get towers

Sorry oils are Distilled emotions that come from delirium. You can make the maps harder but more lucrative with them. Just right click one.

You can get it in the trade for an exalted orb. You'll easily get the orb back when doing the map.

empy, general question, when you open atlas, enter the game, enter a waypoint, etc, it loads fast for you like in poe 1, many people suffer (me too) from screen loads, like, when i open poe, it takes over 1-2 min to load the characters, and another 1-2 min to enter the game, every time i open the acts/map it loads like 15-25 sec, do you have any suggestion of how to make it load faster? because it seems you load it fast (from what i`ve seen it has nothing to do with internet or PC specs).

I haven't heard anyone talking about this issue yet so forgive me if it seems like an obvious question: Do these people have SSDs? That is huge for most game loading times. Other than that, I imagine a lot of people are probably having some video memory problems (gpu memory), so perhaps turning down texture quality would help in that case.

How do I get higher tier maps? I just started mapping, I got my first 2 atlas points and got the two +10% to drop higher tier map but I still just see tier 1 waystones. Even in tier 2 maps I see mostly tier 1 waystones. Thats kind of silly to me. One rare dropped a tier 2 waystone. Is that the strat? Go for rares?

i prefer essence. i think essence is getting slept on a bit. if you get an essence, its guaranteed to be a rare, and gives you crafting currency which can sell as well. we spend so many points and mods to get extra rares in our maps, and yet for some reason we don't use just a couple points to get guaranteed rares and currency

Have you found a way to get greater essences? With just regular essence it doesn't feel worth it for 1/7th of an ex once a map vs. other mechanics.

@@daboross2 well essence is just added on for free. you can get the mod via atlas passives and tablet affixes. don't know of more ways to get them and yes you can get greater essences, its just based on rarity and such i believe. thus the more rares/rare mods type of stats you have stacking the better chances to get greater essences - i believe when i was early mapping i actually got a greater essence of torment, which sold for 50 ex pretty easily. i was surprised it came so easy so they're not locked with item/map/mob level or anything

Yes essences are good but the thing is as of right now it is way too slow to accumulate. The atlas skill tree for it doesn't give a big enough buff to make them consistent

Massive mob density, lots of rare mobs, consistent returns with splinters, and can find some gg breach rings if you're super lucky. Can probably bulk sell white breach rings too I imagine

Is it just me or is the Unstable Energies notable not worth it. It makes maps so much more rippy and the rewards are nowhere close enough to be improved for how much more easily you die. This may be taken by some uber end game build, but for average +15 map doer I feel this will just make you fail much more maps.

Go to the cruel act 3 map... near the bottom of the map there's a waypoint for "old ziggurat (past)"... or something like that. It gets you to the endgame atlas map town

1) that's unlucky or you missed a bunch becasue you have a bad loot filter 2) but also who cares, you dont need to juice in t5, you just need to progress faster to higher tier maps. And you dont need tablets for that, just run a bunch of rare waystones on boss maps and you'll be fine.

@@niuage I'm not sure it's *that* unlucky. Afaik, tablets only drop from their respective mechanics. If you don't do maps with breach, you won't get breach tablets. If you don't do irradiated maps, you won't get irradiated tablets. Or at least they're way less common, I can't remember if they just drop randomly outside of that or not.
