How I Sewed my Tulip Sleeve Mock Wrap Dress with Pleat & Piping Detail

Hi folks, in this weeks video I show how I sewed up my Tulip Sleeved Mock Wrap Dress with Pleat & Piping Detail. I could not be happier with how this has turned out and I'm so glad I persevered through the lack of concentration I was experiencing during the make 😉😌🙌 I hope that the video helps those of you that are thinking of sewing up something similar and you enjoy. Fabric - Viscose Jersey - from my stash
Stitch length used - small 1.8mm, regular 3mm paired with a size 70 sharps needle. The use of both in combination eliminates the need for a zig zag stitch - this was a fabulous tip left by a kind and generous subscriber, longer for tacking 4mm
Interfacing - standard lightweight
Buttons - Hemline Brand 11mm
My Sewing machine - Brother F420

Beautiful dress and style. I picked up a tip when I saw you had placed two cutting mats together in order to cut out your dress with the rotary cutter. I have been searching for a way to do this with my knit fabric. I watch quite a few KZbin sewing videos. Your videos always inspire me to sew more and try things I might not have tried. Hello! Very nice to see new vlogs for this year!! This is a FANTASTIC looking dress. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sleeves! I wish I have the discipline to sit down and learn to sew to as skillful as you. So far my projects have been aprons and a basic block top with a back clasp closure (boriiiiing😴 ). Everything you make is soooo inspirational. Keep posting more videos- eventually I’ll get to your level of sewing just by watching. Question... what sewing machine do you use? As far as the space between the needle and plate, does it easily handle sewing a coat? Thank you for sharing😊
