Hey everyone, thanks for checking out the video. Definitely one of the best sunsets I have seen in 2020 and it was nice just to be out on the coast for a bit. In the beginning of the video I capture some gnarly trees. (If you are ONLY interested in watching the seascape section you can skip to 5:53) Although I do recommend checking that out, it was fun to scout and see the different lighting changes on the trees. This was recorded before the terrible wildfires around California. We have been stuck inside for quite sometime with very hazardous air quality. Yesterday was actually the first day in awhile that the air looks good. So I am pretty excited to get back out there and film some new vlogs.

Stunning images...Wow! A photo I captured was very much like what happened for you. Bright, brilliant, borderline colors that lit up the sky. There was no way I dialed back the vibrance and I've received many words of appreciation for that photo. Regarding which photo in the sea scape I like most, though they are both magnificent, is ONE. No specific reason except that my eye seems to really gravitate to the mid-range as it leads me to the colorful sunset. Thanks so much for another powerful, interesting, and full of great tips vlog. :)

Image 2 for me. Your comment at 5 1/2 minutes is spot on...my wife asks me all the time why I’m not taking pictures when we’re out, and I have to remind her each time that tho it looks great to our eyes, when its on screen / film it just doesn’t have any impact.

Great vlog Michael . Not sure how the trees turned out . I agree some fog to soften the light on them . Love the seascapes . Really beautiful light . 2 weekends ago we escaped to the coast . On the Sunday my partner Sams boys and their families came and. Met up with us . We were in Berrow Somerset UK . 2nd highest tide on the planet . I just wandered off with my camera and tripod at high tide . Quite stark light . Bug had a few ideas . Got home and loaded the shots on the PC . REALLY pleased with the shots I took . I'm gradually getting Landscape/seascape photography. It's totally new to me as always been into motorsport photography. Been following you for a while via Gavin Hardcastle . Thanks for the inspiration .

I personally prefer Image 2, it gives me more sense of balance within the image, from the movement of the near water to the apparent stillness of the middle ground and the amazing reflections, and then to the crashing waves and the calm and beatiful sunset.... great job!!!

#2. The contrast of the white wave and the sunset reflection create better lines back into the scene imo. Nice work!

Thank you, Michael, for the video. I like all of the photos, but if I had to choose one, I prefer the second photo that has more reflection and warmth. The colors are stunning and you are blessed to be able to venture out to the beach (without smoke) for sunrise/sunsets. I look forward to the next one.

I anticipated those colours when i saw your last video where you gave some tips about seascapes. And about the image, i loved that second image as the foreground was much more abstract looking and had much more defined patterns in it.

Hi micheal! I prefer the 1st one because the movement from the waves forms a kind of arrow which then guides you towards the sunset! ✌🏻

Wow, great light at an iconic location. I have not had that kind of light there, maybe one day. I think the square crop image was my favorite followed by Number 1. The longer lines of movement seem to draw my eye in better.

I liked all of these shots, mostly because I LOVE shooting the ocean and beaches- especially at dusk/sunset. It's just so peaceful. I'd pick #2. Really like the detail in the ocean foam, yet it's still a "long" exposure. feel.

I love your videos and listening to your thought process as you go about taking shots. Both of your seascapes are stunning but I will go with Image 2 only because the wave pattern is unusual, “lightening bolt” describes it perfectly. I will look forward to seeing more photos of your trees too. Tree roots draw me in every time, something about them that is so fascinating and in the fog I can just imagine how they would look.

I like that your vids are as much about inspiration as it is about instruction. Also, I think my favorite image is of you behind your tripod in the surf. It's a great composition and the human element has movement but also is literally dwarfed by the scale of the surroundings. Nice work!

Thanks so much, haha yeah I was really happy with the way that video clip came out :)

I did like photo #1 as it does drive you into the center of the image and in a way mirrors the clouds, but I see why you liked #2 as well, but it was more static and became a distraction to the flow. I also think you were on point w/ the rooting trees, I kept feeling like pull the camera back and drop the lens, the roots need much more visibility along w/ the troika. And beyond that I TOTALLY sympathize w/ what you capture against what you get on monitor and how disappointing it can be many times. Ahhhhh, the challenge!!
