I always find your videos cathartic 😂. Seriously, I like the Slapchop style, your enthusiasm for the process and minis, and also to pick up inspiration for color usage. I typically do a zenith highlight with my airbrush primers for speed purposes, but on occasion I’ve done slapchop. Still can’t decide on a good skin color for my Orks though. Ghillie Dew or Malignant Green 🤔

Fantastic video as always, I think you have become my go-to channel for speedpaint inspiration above Watch it Paint it (mostly because you use slap chop and he doesn't, although I love his videos too!). You really seem to have mastered your slap chop drybrushing, the finish in this video is so smooth and neat! Also thank you for putting a shot of how it looks drybrushed grey before you show the white layer, it helps as a comparative guide. I noticed in a previous video of yours on tips for slap chop, that you suggest to thin the speedpaint with medium, but I don't seem to see you do that in any of your actual painting videos? Do you actually thin your speedpaints? I would love to see an episode dedicated to painting metals (but using regular slap chop, not metallic dry brushing like you already posted), including painting coloured metals (like a blue sci-fi rifle on a non-robot mini), as well as tips on making different effect on different metals (bronze, silver, copper, brass, rust, dirt, verdigris, etc...), and also showing which colours you use to highlight your metallics. Not a big list... 😁 Thanks for such great content, this video format is my favourite, and oh, the index of all the colours used is AWESOME!! 🤙🤙🤙

Love the positivity and the fact that you talk more about how it makes you feel rather than some super technical stuff. I also like how you don't aim it to be perfect but just fun. Sometimes I watch some super complicated videos and they just make me want to stop painting 'cause I'll never understand it on that level of perfection. You, on the other hand, are just more "Hey, let's have fun togheter, don't overthink it!". That's a great message for us "normal" painters. Thanks a lot! You make me want to paint more!

Im an old school Testors model enamel paints user myself, since childhood painting models. But Ive come to like the cheaper acrylic Apple Barrel paints myself along with some of the Americana paints also for other various colors. Along with some of the metallic flash colors from Americana or Folk Art, for the flash paint is like the chameleon color shift paint as it changes from purple, blue and green when you turn the model in different light.

You could reduce the paint wastage by using a lot less of it on the palette and using the scrubbing action to spread it over the bristles. It literally looks like you're putting more on the palette than the mini. AP fully acknowledge the the SP metallics only have a two layer effect instead of the three with the others; they continue to work on it.
