For those who are broke like me, i suggest only getting a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen first as those are the important ones, you can also look up cheap alternative products that mostly has the same ingredients and avoid fragrance if you have sensitive skin. Also when using the serum pump, i prefer placing the product on my hand then putting it on my face as bacteria can accumulate on the tip if you touch it to your skin.

Hey found this on reddit super helpful they deleted it so I don't know who it is but it's super helpful! Texture is skin colored bumps. It can’t be popped, so you shouldn’t try extractions. What causes texture? Your pores become clogged with dead skin cells. (Texture can turn into acne with the presence of sebum, dirt, and bacteria in the pores) You’re experiencing dehydration Xerosis (chronically dry skin) Excessive sun exposure There’s also something called follicular hyperkeratinization. Let’s break that down, because it’s a huge factor in skin texture, otherwise known as microcomedones. Keratin is a protein in the skin. There’s soft keratin (skin) and hard keratin (nails). What is keratinization? Without getting too scientific, it’s essentially the process of your cells shedding. It can happen too quickly, which leads to very dry and flaky skin. Or it can occur too slowly, which results in comedones. Follicular Hyperkeratinization is when your cells are not shedding, clogging the pores and causing concerns like texture and acne. It’s one of a few keratinization abnormalities. So now we’ve gotten past the science, let’s get to the fun part: treating and preventing skin texture! 😍 You want to make sure you are focusing on promoting healthy barrier function. So, hydrate and moisturize twice daily. Also, exfoliate using AHAs, BHAs, or enzymes. And SPF! Why hydrate? Because when your barrier is impaired, your skin struggles to focus on treating your other concerns. It’s just focusing on repairing its barrier. Also, an impaired barrier makes your skin sensitized, which means it’ll have difficulty tolerating texture treatments. Why exfoliate? Because exfoliating aids in desquamation, which is the process of shedding dead skin cells. You need to get those dead skin cells out of your follicles in order to treat texture. But, do NOT over exfoliate. That will make your texture significantly worse. SPF is crucial because sun damage causes/worsens texture. Sun damage also causes impaired barrier function. And exfoliants make your skin more sensitive to the sun. So....your attempts at treating texture are futile if you’re not wearing SPF because the sun worsens everything. Specific ingredients to treat texture include: Hydrating ingredients (Humectants): Hyaluronic Acid Glycerin Urea Aloe vera Honey Sorbitol Lactic acid (also an AHA) Propylene/butylene glycol Exfoliating ingredients that target texture: Lactic acid is my personal favorite. It’s an alpha hydroxy acid that’s also a humectant, meaning it draws water into the skin and hydrates. Super gentle. Well tolerated by even sensitive skin types. A truly superior ingredient! Glycolic acid. This is a heavy hitter. Not for the faint of [skin]. It has a low molecular weight (76.05 g/mol). Lactic acid is 90.08 g/mol. So, it is generally not well tolerated by sensitive skin types. But it’s highly effective due to its penetration. Glycolic acid has a higher risk of irritation, but of course it depends on the formulation. Higher percentage generally means higher risk of sensitized skin. Although, it can easily lead to an impaired barrier if used improperly and, texture. Salicylic acid, a BHA (beta hydroxy acid). It’s a desmolytic agent, which means it breaks apart the bonds that hold our skin cells together, helping to remove them from our follicles. It’s amazing if you have oily, acne prone skin and texture simultaneously. Be careful with salicylic acid if you have dry skin as it can cause further dryness because it is lipophilic. This means it’s able to penetrate/break down oil, so it can easily lead to dryness and/or dehydration, which can lead to impaired barrier function and texture. Azelaic acid. It’s the best for sensitive skin types, and is often prescribed for rosacea patients because of it’s ability to refine texture and reduce redness. 11/10 recommend! Generally, you’ll have to get a prescription for it which sucks. But prescription strength (15-20%), in my experience, has been a bit more effective than OTC (

I'm glad your skin improved so well, but just some advices : 1. If you have sensitive skin, stay away from Mario Badescu, it contains lots of fragrances which contribute to even more sensitive skin. 2. Don't let the dropper touch your skin. You just only transfer the bacteria from your skin to your serum 3. Sunscreen should be in adequate amount to be able to protect your skin, depending on moisturizer that contains spf will not help

I'm from India my mom just uses soap and her skin is so soft and smooth like a baby's skin Iam not even exaggerating I think Indians will agree to this !! She also told me she was a tomboy in her teens she never really cared about her skin and never had any pimples or any sort of skin concern I'm shook and I'm here struggling to deal with my textured acne prone and hyperpigmentation skin and I'm searching for help from KZbin oh god please help me !! In India we can't really find good skincare many brands are coming up with different products it's really confusing and overwhelming at the same time ugh I can't really figure out what to do !! 😭

what made the biggest difference for me was BHA exfoliants, when retinol and AHA didn't quite cut it. For reference I live in 80-90 percent humidity for 3/4 of the year so the daily BHA leave on was a lifesaving addition.

I bought the serum! I am so grateful for this recommendation. I have dry skin but do get spots here and there. I have been using it about 2 weeks and my skin looks so clear!! Also, since I bought their product, Eva Naturals sent me a little card to redeem a free gift, which is there Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum! Now I use the Vitamin C + from this video and the HA serum they sent me (which hydrates and helps with fine lines) , followed by my moisturizer. My skin is a lot clearer and smoother. I am so happy with the results that I want to try their bundle package with the cleanser, toner , serum, and moisturizer.
@Celineaux3 жыл бұрын
The Vit C she used has retinol so ideally should be used at night. Also DO NOT USE if you have sensitive skin. Sensitive skin and essential oils are a big NO. And of course always use SPF!

So many mistakes we tend to do unknowingly!!! I'll follow your steps as suggested thanks a lot 😀 I have oily skin which is acne prone n using Bioderma sebium gel moussant since sometime, really suits me well, doesn't give me acne n gives me clear skin.

If you wanna save, read this: For the lat 2 years of my college life, I had the worst breakout of my life. I tried so many products only to make my skin worse. Then pandemic hit and I was stuck with my mom. She prepares our meals with balanced nutrition. I ditched sugar and honey for a couple of months. I limit my intake of carbohydrates and I was surprised because of the change on my skin. It became so smooth and acne free. Honestly guys, sugar makes our skin clogged, textured, acne prone, and sensitive. Try limiting your sugar intake for about 2 weeks and see what happens.

Omg really?? Here I seemed to do everything right, like, correct face treatment routine, drink lots of water, exercise regularly, eating healthy food etc but my skin still this rough dry and bumpy. Because I love drinking a cup of tea with sugar, like twice a day, everyday, lol. Thanks for the advice, will try it hopefully it works for me ♥️

I don't really like putting much products on my face especially because I don't use makeup that much. I only use nivea micellar water cleanser, then wash my face with celeteque facial wash, then use nature republic aloe vera soothing gel as a moisturizer. When I feel like it, I make a face mask out of the aloe vera gel and leave it on for like 20 mins. guys, try the aloe vera gel, it improved my skin a ton! It's cheap and you can use it other ways too i still watch skin care routines on yt tho cause y not

Just to let you know lavender, tea tree and rosewater are not good for sensitive skin as they are fragrances. Natural does not always equal better, people can develop sensitivities to fragrance at any time not just people who already have sensitive skin. We use the same cleanser though, love cerave❤

@javeriakhan10913 жыл бұрын
For teenagers, having a cleanser, a good moisturiser and sunscreen works just fine!! (respectively) Make sure to not add too many products in your skin care routine because you're still young, prefer home remedies along with your routine and don't forget sunscreen even when you're at home!! Thats all!

Yes so happy you used a rose water product it’s the best don’t use ice cubes so much it can cause skin to become red also look into the nianimicide+zinc serum. Also the cerve hydrating* not foaming will cause acne an oil free cleanser like the ordinary cleanser is good too. Other than that I’m buying mostly everything in this video thank you!

something came up in my mind, I thought someone who might need to hear this would read it lol: as a lot of people, I used to have acne in my 13-15 years, now (20) my skin is pretty much normal, so especially if you are a pre-teen or teen reading this *it's completely normal for you not to have perfect skin* :) hormones will do their job. i know it might be obvious but I didn't think so at 14 :')
