These are some gems you've dropped! I would also add that engaging with the clients you already have is key! If you improve your relationship with your customers, they will keep buying your beats. Not only that, they will want personalized, exclusives, and even mixing and mastering services. That's what has been working for me!

I think another perk of the bulk deals is getting more of your beats into the customers hands because not every song they make will be their favorite. Having them get more gives them more of a chance to make a song they like on your beat and then continue to come back or maybe even pay for a custom beat in the future/exclusive sale. Just a natural push into a good business model for your channel and you as a producer

Gday Omito, Have been really enjoying your content and have learnt alot from it. 👍 I have a question about beatstars, is it mainly for rappers or can producers also sell pop and rock beats on there aswell?
@omitobeats29 ай бұрын
I think any genres can work on BeatStars as long as it's intended that an Artist would rap/sing over it. I've uploaded a lot of different genres outside of rap/hip-hop that have done well. I also think that different genres have less competition so there are more opportunities there too

Do a producers beats/instrumentals need to be mastered before uploading to a selling site?
@_maizon2 жыл бұрын
Nah, there is really no need to masterize your beats, just mix them properly. BeatStars gives you the option of upload a wav untagged version for download and a tagged mp3 or wav version for streaming in this file is where you should put like a limiter and make it really pump, this is the version that the artist actually listen in the site, but in your download file you should leave headroom for the artist voice

IMPORTANT QUESTION ⁉️. If I made a random beat from fruity loops with a tag that I just made up and sell it, am I safe from future things such as a person making my best popular and not tagging me in it? Also if I sell it without my tag, am I still ok? Like my tag is something I made up and I never like had it copyrighted or anything. Do I need to get my tag copyrighted in order to sell beats without getting scammed in the future?

When you say "Beats", do you mean to say "Full Track", or "Song"? Or, are you selling Drum Tracks? I'm about to dive into your video. Thnx!
@omitobeats23 жыл бұрын
By "beats" I'm meaning an instrumental song. Not sure if you figured it out in the video, but basically I (& a lot of others!) create instrumental songs and license them online. The best example I have of how it all works is visiting my website omitobeats.net. Rappers & Singers purchase licenses to these instrumental songs to use in their own songs, like recording lyrics over.

@omitobeats22 жыл бұрын
Your stats sound a lot like mine 😅 I'm really diverse as a producer and I've always just uploaded whatever genres I've felt like making, but recently if I have one beat that gets more sales or better reaction I try to "recreate" that beat basically - like make a new one in a similar vibe. I had a beat that went kind of viral 1.5 years ago and I've made a handful of ones similar to it that have gotten good results too. I think that that's kind of been helping me niche down and I see the value with it.

What do you use to put your audio on top of your Instagram reels? And do lower the volume to keep ig from compressing the audio?

Is there a way to tell who is buying your beats..is it companies, individual artists, etc????
@omitobeats23 жыл бұрын
For the most part I think you can. When someone buys a beat from me through BeatStars/PayPal I can see some info about them, like their name/contact info. I find that if a company is buying a beat it usually comes up with the company name or website in the PayPal transaction. Of course, there might be some people who buy the beat personally for their company. I'd love to hear some other people's input if they see this comment. Also... not sure if it's just me, but I don't really matter too much if it's a company or an individual. I've had many times where people buy my beats and I don't hear from them after that.

Whats a good price tag for beats bro.?
@omitobeats22 жыл бұрын
I've sold mine starting at $30 ever since I started selling beats 10+ years ago. I've seen a lot of producers have success from leases starting at $20 or $25 for a basic lease, and $50-$100 for a higher tied lease, then up to $150-$200 for an unlimited lease. I don't think there's a real right or wrong answer. I'd say try creating a few different tiers of leases and tweak them as you start to get more sales.
@djprodluigi3 жыл бұрын
But 1 question did most of your selfs come from Beatstars promotions To tell like this beat is liked a lot ?
@omitobeats23 жыл бұрын
I haven't done much with BeatStars promo, but what I have done I haven't been very successful with! I've probably only spent around $30-$50 there but it never led to any sales. Maybe if you keep at it you'll have results, but I personally haven't had sales come from it.
@djprodluigi3 жыл бұрын
@@omitobeats2 ooooh thank you though broo Then what was it then you get sales from Or is it only reaching out to people
@omitobeats23 жыл бұрын
I don't really reach out to anyone to make sales, a lot of customers find my beats online and message me or visit my site themselves to buy beats. And this comes from a lot of uploads on KZbin, a lot of content posted on my Instagram account, and a lot of beats online. Once you build up a large enough catalog I think it'd be easier for Artists/customers to find your beats on their own.
