Hi Steph! I'm from Barcelona. I'm so glad you are learning spanish! Just wanted to let you know it was hard for you to understand spanish here because you probably heard people talking in catalan! It's a lenguage spoken in Catalonia and some others places. You could understand catalan and italian because they are romanic languages (they come from latin), just like spanish! English is not my first languge so I hope you can understand my comment! I love your videos

in barcelona we also speak catalan, so maybe that's why you couldn't understand everything :) catalan is also a romance language (like spanish, italian, french, portuguese, romanian...) so if you understand one of those languages it will be easier to learn the others
