It's really such a good way of thinking though, I live in sweden where it's rainy, cold and dark as hell for about 7 months straight every year, and the only times I find myself bothered by it is when I'm dressed wrong. As long as you make sure that you're water and wind proof and that you'll stay warm and cozy- everything will be great and the coldness and darkness will honestly just add to the cozy feeling!!

An interesting thing I learned about tartans in my Celtic studies classes is that they didn't actually used to be as distinctly connected to specific Clans are they are now. They did wear kilts, but the tartans were more about the regional dyes available. The English were the ones who wanted to create a tartan registry and demanded that the Scots report what their Clans' tartans were, so that's when the Clans unified their tartans. Some people feel like this takes away the validity of the tartan family connections, but I don't think it does. Scottish history is fascinating and I highly recommend doing more research on it! Another thing that I think is cool is that Canada has very strong Scottish culture in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and they play instruments there in a traditional way that was not as well preserved in Scotland. This type of music is called Puirt-a-Beul or "mouth music" and it's beautiful!

Omg the way you say Argos?! 😂 I love that. Argos has stores in Ireland and in all of the UK I believe. Damon and Jo you should both visit Ireland at some stage. I would advise to never visit during autumn - winter. Rain is kinda cool and makes everything look aesthetic in a 'dull' way but it makes visiting places harder. Plus we're right by the Atlantic so visiting Kerry is windy hell! Places you should visit in Ireland are: 1. Kerry. Visit Valentia island it's heavenly. Freeze yourself in the sea but you'll feel like your soul has been healed. 2. Go up to Northern Ireland, embrace the culture and respect the history. Don't just visit Belfast please. 3. Dublin is pretty cool. Kinda dirty but they really have their own thing going on up there. Don't visit the Guiness factory, like that drink isn't popular with Irish people it's for foreigners. 4. Cork. West Cork is pretty cool. It also has it's own thing going on. 5. Clare obvs the Burren and Cliffs of Mogher. Really beautiful place. Head to Galway next.
