Mind blown too. ItZ crazy good stuff!!! Going to make flaking easy, fast, and fun! So many possibilities!

You can get a wrinkle reaction on built up areas. This will happen typically with too quick a cure. I would take a look a making some light distance adjustments perhaps to see if that helps.

ThankZ for the comment and that was it! I did put more down in that spot and had my light close to it. Sanded out easy, broke/cut out the air bubble, filled it with a drop and cured it, then re-cleared the whole thing tonight. Came out amazing! Love this stuff🤘🏻

@coastairbrushtv What do you recommend as a sitting time for an item like this ? My usage is mostly helmets so wondering if there's an optimal time to let it sit and have bubbles and surface settle before hitting it with UV ?
@antisocialcreations2 жыл бұрын
My experiences were the same as yours lol. I was doing mine in 2 layers. Dust coat , then heavy. With a quick flash cure in between. But any area that was heavy would get those weird sag lines. Distance adjustment helped that. My biggest issue has been those little pops. You let yours sit much longer than I have so I may just have to be more patient. I did add a tinge of 91% alcohol which seemed to help a bit. When you get a good flow my goodness it's an incredible time saver. I've shot mine at 14 psi on the LPH80 both knobs wide open. So I may give your settings a whirl and go higher along with adjusting the fluid nozzle.

Yes, further distance was my biggest help. I’m spraying it around 20-25psi now and like it better. The lil ‘pock marks’ as they call them, do go away if u wait long enough. I’ve lowered my psi to about 10psi and just blow air on them. Seems to work most of the time. Give it a try next time and let me know if it helpZ.

I can't wait to paint my fender tomorrow with the clean armor

Sweet! Hope it goes well🤘🏻I have a couple more motorcycles getting some soon. Another tip, heat it up to about 80° before spraying, and it will flow out better with less pock markZ.

Pretty freaking bad ass! Might have been a little solvent still there 🤔, who knows but still really cool.
@BrusHstroKeZ2 жыл бұрын
There r no solvents in it. The wrinkled sanded and buffed right out. And that was an air bubble. Cracked the top layer, filled with a drop of clear and blended into it self.

We’ll that’s a hell of a shine. Have you had any similar issues?? Where do you get it??
@BrusHstroKeZ2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! ItZ even better in person. No other issues. Put too much down in that spot and had my light too close(cured too fast). It sanded right out and would have buffed out easy. But I fixed the air bubble and just recleared it all. Came out great.

Use a little bit of 91 % denatured alcohol. I’ve been using this stuff for about a year and a half and had the same problems. I spoke with the owner of the company, great guy, .. I see You’re a little too close with your paint gun all you need is one good wet coat at a distance. The denatured alcohol helps it flow out better and wetter. Another trick you can do is heat up with the heat gun and then put it into your spray gun if it’s a little warmer, it flows out nicer.😉

Yeah, the owner called me shortly after I posted this and gave me all the info u did too. I did get much better resultZ after applying them. ThankZ for offering the tipZ though. Love when other artists help each other! Appreciate ur support🤘🏻

Does it stink a lot or is it less smelly than regular clearcoat? Nice demo, I'm amazed by this clear.
@BrusHstroKeZ Жыл бұрын
ThankZ man. I’d say itZ just as strong or stronger smelling. Lingers longer. Smells just like PineSol. Non toxic, but smelly. I don’t mind the smell.

Are you still liking/using this ? I have some , get alot of random pockmarks. Kind of annoying. Im never sure whether a heavy coat or numerous light coats is preferred. It doesnt seem to react well to some createx lines so I hit them with 4050-4053 before using this.
@BrusHstroKeZ9 ай бұрын
Not using it anymore. Too many issues. Try heating it up before u spray it. That helped with the pock marks. I spray just enough to cover enough so it flows out, medium ish coats. Mine is all expired now. I used it on a tumbler and still worked like normal. No idea if it’ll have issues down the road🤷🏻♂️ PS- was a freebie to match a bike I painted for a guy.
@mml31409 ай бұрын
@BrusHstroKeZ oh wow. Was hoping it was just user error on my end. It seems SO close but it has such a high rate of bad outcome. I'll see if heat helps pockmarks. What do you use now ? Still tamco or 4053 ?
@BrusHstroKeZ9 ай бұрын
@@mml3140 Still Tamco for now. Probably going to try some Revolt Automotive Paint when I run out. It’s Tammy Miller’s new company she started. She’s the one that made all the custom paint lines for Tamco when they started doing them, Tamco owners daughter.

@@BrusHstroKeZ I remember her being very friendly and helpful. I took a look , if that 15 min clear cures as pretty as the 9500 Ive tried that would be impressive.
@BrusHstroKeZ9 ай бұрын
@mml3140 It’s actually better than 9500 30min clear. The 15min is THICK and it doesn’t solvent pop like 9500 if over applied. I’d have to see side by side first to confirm, but I think the 15min has more clarity and depth too. Haven’t sprayed it yet, but that’s what everyone was using at class during PaintKult ‘24.

What about led lights any problems
@BrusHstroKeZ2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what ur asking? My booth has all LED lights. This clear is activated by UV light only. There’re linkZ in the description with more info about it.
