I still use this method for the past couple years even though loosing approx. 15% of the area of a cord due to the 4x4s now being shorter than 48" due to sitting in the cinder blocks by 8" I try to stack higher in the middle and taper to the outside edges to help with water runoff

This is so simple, yet so effective! Will build it your way as a temporary solution (which might become a rather permanent one 😅).

Simple and good. Thank you!

You can also stack wood just between 2 trees and place pallets elevated from the ground with stones or smaller concrete blocks. Looks nicer...

That's a quick way to rot the trees

And the rain? You can cover on top but and on the sides?
@shanepitzer432311 ай бұрын
You don’t cover the sides. Wood needs to breath.

@@shanepitzer4323 yes, but the rain will hit the sides and get wet again

4 posts and a tarp. tarp can extend a few feet past the wood... the windier it is where you are, the more extra feet you need of tarp.

The wood pile is not 4’ tall. It’s 3’ 2 1/2” from the 2x4’s.
