I like the poncho 😮 I used too wear weather proof pants and jacket, I used too work half a hour away so it wasn't too bad I always used too arrive Dry even when it was pouring down I might look around for a decent Poncho, Just started Bike commuting again I'm only 15 min away 😮

I have also a poncho from Decathlon. I like it that much... that I hope it is going to rain. Wich is no problem in the Netherlands ;)
@atomo87302 жыл бұрын
issue is never the rain and cold, more rain and SWEAT :P however, thumbs-up for your work

Yep, get wet from the outside in or inside out. Keep dry clothes and towel at work. Don't work in your commuting clothes or commute in your working clothes.

@@MeneerHerculePoirotSomebody forgot to tell the Dutch they should do all that... and they seem to manage quite well. Unfortunately, a lot of those that consider themselves to be "serious" cyclists, treat all riding as a sport and training... an ordeal. So getting hot, sweaty and wet whilst dressed in expensive lycra and is proof of being a "proper" cyclist. 🥵 🙄 Personally, I think the Dutch have the right idea.

Dang these look perfect but they are out of stock, hope they come back soon. Have tried a few different ponchos for rain and they both have both not been ideal

What do you think about ponchos that go over the handlebars? I could imagine that it gibes sufficient protection even without rain throusers

Im usually Medium size clothes. If I'll get the overpants, should I get one size bigger or stick with Medium size pants?
@BikeCommuterHero2 жыл бұрын
I think you should be fine with your size.

I had decathlon jackets and over pants, very low quality, it lasted only one week, then started letting water in in light rain, so don't waste money on it

That's a pity. I've used mine for a while now and they've held up pretty well.

Running jackets have pocekts
@another3997 Жыл бұрын
Most jackets have pockets... but apparently "serious" cyclists can't have proper pockets, or indeed, proper jackets. Cycling became too sports focussed a long time ago, and sadly, much of the cycling gear followed suit. Strangely, serious outdoor/hiking clothing usually has lots of pockets and doesn't involve tight fitting lycra, but is comfortable, hard wearing and can look quite smart. Great if you ride a bike and don't want to look like a Tour de France reject.
