May I ask what is the weight of your litepro compared to brompton?
@Kevin_geekgineering5 күн бұрын
for tires make it thicker, you don't speed, you need stability and over 40 millimeter are the best, narrower than that is not good for potholes and all urban jungle in car infested city

A "brompton" is an overrated and overpriced fashion accessory. Brand name bragging rights mean nothing when you can buy a clone that in some cases is better for under half the price

Hello, i’ve watched a lot of reviews on this bike, and looking to buy it? but whenever i go to the bike link, it says “250W” in the specs, what’s the matter of that.. isn’t it a 750W?
@Jarrych837 күн бұрын
This was very helpful. I think the only concern I have about Continental is a lot of reviews out there about super inconsistent sizing that's made me a bit cautious. I like the look of the WTB All Terrain, but wish it had some puncture resistance, and that's basically what the Ride Tour gets. But they sure seem like a good balance of features for the price, which is sweet.

I commuted in the rain with 32mm tires today and I was nervous af. They're best in dry weather for fast runs but in wet weather? Nope.

32 miles (51 km) for me. No shower at work and they’ve been downsizing the office and stuffing us into tighter and tighter spaces. Car parking $ has increased exponentially over the last few years, and if I take the bus, the nearest bus stop is 13 miles away and I’d have to drive there.

I'm a fairly casual rider but like to go fast easily around town, the neighborhood, local parks etc and want to be very comfortable too. My budget is about $500 but flexible. I am 64 woman and using for fun and fitness. What do you recommend?

I think the current research suggests that reflectives on moving parts (wheels, feet, pedals) have a greater effect than vests and jackets. I think that reflective slap bracelet is probably more effective than you give it credit for.

Hi. I couldn't agree more about the alarm. I have mine for 5 days and it's very annoing. I thought that adjusting the volume in the settings would fix it, but the noise is still there. Such a shame for a great watch.

My favorite was a Raleigh C50. I shortened the chain stays and installed a different fork(shorter and less rake) with drop bars, eventually it got Sachs ergo power shifters and Shimano drive train. So it now has good cyclo cross geometry . Had a torch at the bicycle shop i woked at . Cool now it's a cyclo cross bike with a sloping top tube that's easy to get on and off. Gee why didn't anyone think of that sooner. Anyway nothing like commuting on tubulars (the cyclo cross type with the center worn smooth) daily and being able to go off raod at the flick of the wrist with confidence . Still have it.

I am using 32 and the speed is good but comfort not so much, am thinking of moving up to 38mm because even on roads, you often have potholes, cobblestones, weirdly paved bike lanes, where the stones aren't level but are all aligned which leads to wobbling.

Thanks for a quality review! I will get this Moloko handlebars for my touring e-bike when I ride to Norway. Must be super strong since it is built from cro-molibden and can support 10+ kg without breaking. It will have enough room even for my Garmin 67i GPS.

i'm considering buying this grip but i'm not sure about sizing, is the difference between the small and large the length of the grip or the girth? and would you say kids use small and adults use large? or any adult male should be using large and adult female and kids pick small?

Bought these for my MTB to turn it into hybrid/tour bike since the knobby MTB tires are noticeably slower on asphalt/tarmac. It all depends where you mostly cycle. If let's say your cycling happens 70% on pavement and 30% on MTB/forest trails, just get these continental tour ride tires or similiar touring tires (you will still be able to ride on trails with these just in slightly slower pace with less grip). If you are doing bikepacking style cycling on MTB with backpack/panniers you won't go fast on trails anyway on your MTB since the weight slows you down thus the knobby tires are kind of useless for that purpose. However if your goal is to enjoy trails and go fast on trails on MTB bike then definitely get knobby tires because the grip makes huge difference.

I find them too narrow. Plus the lack of adjustability makes them less than ideal for my commute.

@@BikeCommuterHero Yeah the biggest one I could find is 455mm wide on Amazon, Im thinking on trying it up with a cushy tape to make it as close as possible with the "hoods" of a drop bar without paying for the conver$ion.

What's the ideal group set for a good commuter bike. Also, can you get decent quality components for a bike around 500? What brands would you recommend. I've recently moved to Italy. There are a lot of local brands from 200E to over 1000E. I am not familiar with these brands. The more bike shops I visit the more confused I get. Any suggestions?
