I've been trying to lose weight for the longest time. I've made progress, but it's taking so much longer because at least once a weak I fall back into my depression or just get stressed over something. Causes me to binge eat and then stresses me out even more.

I suggest seeing a psychiatrist first. The diet can be adjusted once your mood is Euthymic.

Try OMAD. It has helped me like crazy. I eat one big meal a day and nothing else, I drink tons of water and diet drinks. This is day 37 and I'm down 25lbs.

how to stop stress eating: 1. Exercise: Any form of exercise can dampen the negative effects of stress. 2. Meditation: When you get the emotional urge to eat something, meditate for a few minutes. Be mindful of your emotions, & cravings. It will give you back control over food. 3. Keep a Food Diary: After tracking my calories for a couple of days, I got the insight that I suffer from an eating disorder. 4. Snack Healthy: I carefully chose low-caloric snacks like mandarin, hard-boiled eggs & vegetable plates for this purpose. I consider this a win-win! 5. Don’t be afraid to get help: I always believe that those who get help have strong personalities.

I'm a premed student and I found myself eating a lot of sweet foods this school year. Everyday, we have quizzes so I have no choice but to study and stay awake through the whole night and the only way for me to relieve stress is through eating. It gives me satisfaction for a short time but a lot of disadvantages come after. I hope I can incorporate your advice this new school year.

This video is very beneficial and I love the graphics! I lost a lot of weight about two years ago and now with stress eating, I gained 10kg of them back in just 6 months. I am currently recovering and getting my life back on track. This video definitely gave me a push, I can't wait to restart my journey.

You have lost weight successfully in a previous occasion, and have the insight of the current situation. Those two features tell me that you will achieve your weight loss goals this time as well.

I started my weight loss journey 2 years ago I was 300 pounds and I lost 125 pounds in my 1st year and I kept the weight of for months and then I had experience something to put me into depression so I started eating all the things I had been avoiding and before I knew it I was back into the 200s and I'm learning that losing weight and keeping it off is really just a mental thing and you have to be strong mentally and learn health habits that can last a lifetime.

My tip is, Don't focus on being hungry or how hungry you are. Focus on your diet progress. Basically, stay positive.

Nice work. When feeling stressed, it is helpful if you set time for yourself so that you can participate in activities that promote relaxation. It can include going for a walk in nature, expressing your emotions through journaling or art work or practicing meditation. Doing so can help reduce stress so that you don't rely on "comfort foods" to manage negative emotions.

*Emotional eaters need to Remove Stress, that raises Cortisol, which then kicks in Ghrelin, which kicks in the desire to eat 'sweet things. 1. Exercise 2. Meditation 3.Maintain a food diary 4. Snack healthily (If you are going to snack) 5. Don't be afraid to get help. Open up to your emotions.

It’s either this or self harm… I’m really skinny so eating doesn’t affect my weight, I have a very fast metabolism, but my skin however is feeling the effects of emotional eating for sure. Never had such bad acne as I’m having now…

Good one. What about fasting?
@TinyMedicine2 жыл бұрын
Hey daci! I intentionally left it out since some research studies pointed out that fasting can be a trigger for binge eating (in those who have high cortisol levels). For someone without binge eating/stress eating habits, fasting is absolutely crucial for weight loss.
