How I strengthened up the unibody on the Z

I was just thinking if it would be possible stiffen the unibody of my toyota with additional welded pieces and I found this. Awesome!

...this is very clever, especially for sports car vehicles that ride low, or have been lowered. I thought about doing this for my 98 Honda Civic. I also thought about doing something like this for my 1992 Jeep XJ, those vehicles flex and twist like crazy.

I own an old Plymouth it's seen loads of driving, Had a tune up now to much high fuel pressure. Same deal if I hit a bump it crabs or it feels like the body flexs over bumps. Instead of welding I just plan on trading it off for safer measure. Keep in mind even though it was in fair shape it was beat. The wiring was bad I had Jimmy rigged it just to get me by.

What dimensioms c chanel was it? Im trying to do a similar thing to my z but idk what to use

I am trying to remember if it was 2 1/2 x 3/4 or if it was 2 1/2 x 1/2 inch. I think it was 3/4 inch as i had to trim a few sections and wanted the extra depth.

I wish they would discontinue the unibody.. They are cheap and designed to crack Like an egg and crumple like an aluminum can. My next vehicle will be a twenty five hundred chevy silverado or beggar with a solid steel front and rear bumper And the truck will be lifted. I'm tired of bumping another car and it totally mine out. Or getting my car totaled by someone Hitting me
