Hello! Question, I graduated from undergrad about 2 years and COVID-19 took a toll, couldn't study during that time. I'm ready to start now, but its been a while since I have seen the material and I need to go over it. I been feeling stressful about it. Any tips on what I should do?? :( thank you!

Hey Nour, sorry to hear you've had some troubles man but glad that you are ready to start! Don't be too stressed because as long as you do the best you can, then you're good. I would suggest blocking out extra time and getting into a consistent schedule!

I want to apply to dental schools next year but I miscalculated when I should start studying and haven't started yet ( I'm technically in my junior year). Do you think it's a good idea to start studying right away? Can you take the test any time of the year or is it only during the summer?

Honestly if I was you I would plan to apply early for next cycle and take time studying for the exam! You can take the test really at any time though. Best of luck!

Hey Jack! Thanks for your videos. I had to comment to agree that Dr. Mike is THE BEST and makes me laugh out loud. I'm on the end of my 3rd month studying and was ready to go May 5th until my test was canceled due to the test center closures. The earliest date I could get is late June so I've got a bonus 2 months to work for a higher score! Onto Bootcamp round 2 …

Okay, so I am currently a sophomore Bio major with a 3.3 GPA, and lower science GPA. I am NERVOUS! I just decided this is the route I want to take (I was very depressed before and wasn't focusing on school, that's the reason for the low GPA), but I'm wondering if I should change my major. I excel and am passionate about English, and I think switching would pick up my overall GPA and give me some relief from the back to back science and math classes that I feel slightly overwhelmed by. Would you recommend this? Would me switching be a red flag to dental schools?
@yanirisrodriguez2425 Жыл бұрын
If you really love dentistry, don’t change your major. You can still increase your GPA!

How was your studying the first time? I believe Bootcamp is all you need so i would repurchases it but how did it work for you? Was it the program or how you studied that is making you retake? If you decide to use bootcamp again go ahead and use "Jackhan" for a discount!

@jackhansmiles3 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony! I personally think that DAT Bootcamp does a great job of teaching you quantitative reasoning but if you really want to try a tutor you could see if your school has a program, see if there is one from word of mouth, or look online to find one you like! :)

Hi! I just recently came across your videos! Do you think it would be reasonable to take the DAT during my senior year, then apply to dental school? I’m currently an incoming Junior, and would appreciate any suggestions-thanks so much :))
@jackhansmiles3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pauline, I would suggest taking the DAT at the end of the summer between sophomore and junior year or between junior and senior year! :)
@drmatt9208 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's reasonable! Ideally between sophomore and Junior year, but life doesn't always work out that way. I took the DAT at the end of my Senior year. I had my application ready and once I got my score back I applied to Dental school. I got in and worked for a year until dental school started.

Hi Jack, how do you feel when Dat Destroyer says DAT bootcamp isn’t sufficient? I end up buying DAT destroyer... not sure if I need to regret that purchase or not yet lol... either way my science background is weak so hopefully you can still recommend DAT bootcamp with that information??
@jackhansmiles4 жыл бұрын
Hi Diamonn. Well if they said that boot camp is sufficient then they wouldn’t be able to sell any books! I definitely recommend boot camp if you have a weaker background. If you completely exhaust DAT bootcamps resources, then using Destroyer would be great extra practice. I would say it isn’t needed but it can still be helpful!

@jackhansmiles3 жыл бұрын
Hey man sounds like you might need to put in more effort than average! I don't know your level of knowledge about the sciences but definitely think its doable. I think 3 hours then ramping it up to 8 once the summer hits would be fine! :)
