Write down questions (think of what they would put on the exam) & awnsers (*active recall*) 5. I did flash cards mainly for my pharmacy finals for 2nd year, and active recall when practicing case studies. I got first class marks, so your advice helped me so much! I can’t wait to implement them more over 3rd year!

Hello, thank you so much for sharing your study methods. I am studying pharmacy course in the UK. I am a very slow learner. I do step 1-3 same as you. I do a little bit of Q&A in my head. I think I am going to try your way write questions out for this exam. For the cue cards, I really want to start making them. A lot of students in my class using cue cards as well. Because I have never used cue card, it might take a while for me to develop using this method. I found that it is quite difficult to find online resources for studying pharmacy course. Do you have some recommendations? Thank you!

samwizzy1 Pharmacy school exams is drastically different from undergrad for the nature of them or at least you’ll find will become progressively applicational. You’re given the foundational knowledge, then you’re expected to make decisions based off of the knowledge. The questions will require you to think, but that’s to ensure the quality of you yourself when becoming a pharmacist who actually know what you’re doing. :)

I try to summarize the notes after I've memorized everything, that way I'm actively using my brain cells to recall the information. However I may still refer to my notes when making the summary because I definitely am not able to memorize everything in one go! Don't be sorry at all! I find that textbooks are a really useful tool to help us understand concepts. For instance, if there is something that I don’t understand in lecture notes, I take a look at the textbook and I generally find that it enhance my understanding of that particular concept. I can go into more detail about this in a video if you’d like, just let me know ☺️
