This was breath of fresh air. Your approch is top notch around designing various systems. I came from Enterprise background and stared to look into Gaming from quite some time. One thing I miss heavily in most of tutorials and courses lack proper system designs and bloated with lot of spaghetti code. Would be great if you can make some videos around inner working of your systems. Thanks..!!

After hearing your advice for the first time, I started to make a generic library of shared code, I can put into any of my projects, however converting game code into a generic library is challenging.

Very cool to see the day night system in action, it lends so much dynamism to a game.

How did you make the scriptable object with the action boxes? Is that something you've covered in a different video or is there a tutorial that explains how to do something similar? That looks amazing and like it could help me out a ton with my game!

Main thing that makes it look like that is "OdinInspector"! Then I made some custom arrangements and made it look like that :)

Hello, did you make the shader for let 2D sprites casting and getting shadows? I use one that works only on a side. Can you share yours? 😊

So much progress, I wish I had such productivity. Maybe I spend too much time building my frameworks for the games, hah.

How do you handle the sorting of all those 2D sprites in the 3D world? Do you have a custom transparency sort axis?
@Conradical
@Conradical Жыл бұрын
I have a shader that makes sprites behave as if they were just regular geometry, so there are no sorting issues, it's automatic as with 3D geometry :) Mine is lightly based on a tutorial by Tarodev!

@@Conradical Oh? Are they opaque objects with alpha clipping? Is it based on his sprite shadows video or something else?

the rpg looks good but I think the way the characters jiggle around when talking is a bit too extreme. Looks a bit silly and would probably look better if it was toned down a bit
