Hello guys! So this is how much I spend usually for the week here in Norway. I'm always trying to safe as much as possible because this is what I can afford with the current state of my KZbin channel. I don't spice my food and I don't like to spend too much time in the kitchen. I just throw everything together and I'm happy with it. If you have a normal paycheck and pay a bit of attention, you can buy a lot of food (doesn't matter what diet you follow). See ya in the next video!

When I was in Norway eating meat and fish was cheaper than eating only vegetables. It was a lot cheaper even to eat fish, salmon is really cheap there. And raw milk is relatively cheap too. And eggs as well. I managed to cut my friends monthly expenses down by 30% even though he lived alone

A small tip; are you familiar with Kiwi's Fortsatt God basket? The price for what is in the basket is 9 NOK per kg no matter what it is. Kiwi has a basket with their produce where they put fruit and vegetables that are not perfect, often times all is still useable, or you remove a tiny bit and the rest is good to go. The trick is to get to know your local store and time it so that you are there around the time they fill up the basket. My local store does this around 9 - 9:30 every morning. Some days is it nothing other days it is a treasure trove of goodies. Today I found strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, bell pepper, salad, melons, bananas, basil, and peaches.

Potato chips must have gone up everywhere, in Australia they have gone up about 45% usually about $3 now over $4:50 close to $5 so I don't buy anymore. I have to try rice cakes with dates and PB now. I make a big pot of veggie stew once a fortnight and freeze some of it that saves heaps. Add rice or noodles when serving.

As a mushroom lover in the states I actually started to grow my own and with a little startup investment it is actually extremely cheap and easy since you can use mostly waste products and whatever grains are cheapest in your area. You will have more fresh delicious mushrooms than you know what to do with. If you have a little free space for a plastic tub give it a try sometime! There's great tutorials all over the place!

As a Norwegian i don't think prices is bad. Grocery stores is competing every week and dumps prices on selected food every week. Spar and Meny in Norway frequently have up to 70% discount on their 1$ and 2$ sales that usually lasts for 2 weeks at a time. After price hike last year, there is of course some selected food that is too overpriced now. Norway in general have sales every week . Is anything ever full priced in Norway? lol.. That question were on TV news.

Nice vid! It trips me out that people I know, who work full time, literally spend their entire fortnightly paycheck on eating expensive take away food/drink daily. And getting ubers instead of public transport! Its 10 times cheaper and so much healthier to bargain hunt at the food markets. It takes going to a few places to get everything. Im going to start going weekly to a cheaper fresh food market. Its out of the way, but at least I wont be paying way too much supporting the commercial supermarkets/rip off artists. I dont eat much processed foods, cheaper and healthier to get everything fresh. Cookings a bitch but I try to cook a few things up all at once and then i can eat like a king for a few days. Lately Ive been living off pressure cooker soups and soups with roasted veggies ie. Over Roasted butternut pumpkin, roasted carrot, roasted red capsucim. Then puree with blender, add coconut cream, stock cubes, herbs.
