I love the Old Testament…I seem to spend a lot of my time there even Leviticus has grown on me and given me some jewels to ponder. 💛

I grew up in the church, and it was as a grew up that I truly learned how much of a dork I was about the bible and took it seriously and started to dive into the geeky bible symbolism. When I was informed about the numbers and how they applied, I was like....wow! That is so cool and helps me get a better understanding and insights! I'm totally with ya faith! Beautiful name by the way!

I start on Psalms, read through all the way to Job. In my mind it reads like this: praise and worship, wisdom, why we needed a savior so badly, the coming of and life of Jesus, letters to church on how to live, the 2nd coming of christ, then the way that God intended it to be through creation, then examples of the pillars of faith and all of their struggles, and ends with the faith of Job. ❤

Boy I really needed this. I am almost done with a study on Exodus. It was hard to read through God's instructions on how the Tabernacle should be built. And then read it all over AGAIN when they were building it. I try to tell myself "if it's in the Bible it's important." But then I still gloss through it. And I'll be starting Leviticus soon so your tips are very helpful! Proud to be a student of the dorks! I hope you are doing well. You're a great person, Faith! 💖

Busted! 🤦🏼♀️🤣 The New Testament in my Bibles is always way thicker than the Old Testament! Seeing a new video with you is a combination of spending time with a bestie and having her also be the best Bible teacher ever!

Maybe I'm just a big nerd, 🤓 but I don't find the bible to be boring. There are parts I'm less interested in than others. However, unless you LOVE genealogy, starting with that as a new Christian would be hard. Or even Proverbs. There's a lot in Proverbs and it can be overwhelming. I think John is a great place to learn about who Jesus is and Psalms is the best place to learn to praise Him!

Over the years I have come to love the first chapters in 1 Chronicles. There are some very easy to overlook little gems in it.

There is a lot of depth in the genealogies - I still don't get into all of them but the ones I do get are worth it

Something fun I did with all the names Matthew genealogy, is I looked up all the meaning of names. I found God told a story with the meaning of the names. Do it , it was fun and exciting. Let me know if you liked this idea.

Another great video, Faith! I love that you don’t shy away from the fact that some parts can be boring. I have friends who feel guilty even thinking that, lol. I also love that you explain how there really is some great stuff tucked up in there too :) Side note: as an undergrad I had to read through the whole Bible too … and then had to summarize the entire Bible in two huge papers (OT & NT) 😵💫 I’ve been wanting to go back and read them, but I know I’ll be critiquing the whole time 😂

First, I need to buy a Bible with large margins 😅 We don’t have those in my country or in my language (because we learn to keep it clean and not really write much?) I should get one shipped! It will be expensive but I won’t mind. I do have one huge Study Bible from college years. Thanks and looking forward to your videos. Just found you today! Blessings from Seoul ❤

1 Chronicles is it telling the Genealogies of the historic relationship. Like Adam and David, Abraham, Jacob and so on. It can be a little confusing to me it was when i get to 1 Chronicles to a degree. But it telling the history of what happened before they got to that point of this chapter.
