Hi Paul, what about naming your jackfruit tree that was grown from seed "Lazarus" due to it almost dying but springing back to life (again)? "Lazarus, come forth!" 😀 Great looking yards and lots of beautiful, loaded trees! Prayers up for your continued success!

Very nice pruning job! Someone’s seen some orchards and professional fruit production! Not a coincidence this style is found in many species, concept is essential for integrated pest management.

Any of your hosts discuss bio security, quarantine, etc? Could be valuable to cover some diseases, threats, workflow (clean to dirty, young to old), water/waste management. Academic could give you a good tour of diseases, farmers will show you practical ways to control them. Great channel!

I would look at a picture of your Boca champedek when it was younger and see which part of the tree is the grafted variety

When pruning- Don’t leave stumps or stubs. Always cut back to the (collar) or at a point of new growth. Those little Stubbs all over the branches will die back to the collar, and then will act as a dinner bell to wood boring insects like termites and borers. No matter how big or small. Then they can infiltrate whole limbs from stub pruning. We should colab and do a class on the channel- so people understand the nuances and art of pruning-

Hi Paul thanks for the great videos! Question : if you had space for one small to medium size mid season mango tree in Coral Springs, would you chose Carrie, Little Gem or Malika? Thanks
@FruitfulTrees
@FruitfulTrees Жыл бұрын
For only 1 tree neither of those would be in my top 3 but of the three if you taste Carrie and you like it that one but some people don't like it at all. Melika is great but you have to know when to pick it. Little Gem in great but late season. Again none of those would be in my top 3. I'm getting rid of my carrie and top working it.

@@FruitfulTrees Thanks Paul . I like that little gem is late season and is a small tree since my space is limited. Think it will go well with my Glenn and Dwarf Hawaiian. This will be my final tree.. no more space. Lol… Ps: what would be one must have mango tree. Thanks Ray R

Airlay the limbs before you cut them to make more mango trees and grown them in pots . You will get more manga off the airlay during mango season right away cause the limbs would already be mature . Grown the kings in pots

Hey I'm not a mango connoisseur but can I ask why I never hear about anyone growing Manilla mango over there? I got a few small ones started from seeds here in NorCal, they are loving the heat

Did I hear you say you don't even like apricots that much? I've heard Chris Wenzel say the same thing. My response to that is I guess neither of you have tasted California apricots, ripened on the tree. They are insanely delicious, as good as any mango, and they'd make you spit out jackfruit, caimito, star fruit, and other Florida fruits you grow.
@FruitfulTrees
@FruitfulTrees Жыл бұрын
correct I don't but taste is subjective. I've had dried Apricots but not frest california ones.

@@johnbanach3875 I may have had them fresh in CA but don't remember. I was just telling you what I had tried I don't doubt they are amazing fresh, I was saying taste is subjective because I've had a good amount fresh in Florida and I wasn't crazy about them.
