For a flat platen, I recommend a tungsten carbide plate. Stays flat for a very long time.

Thanks a lot for this series ! Very helpful indeed. Will you make a video about handle scales ? It must be quite tricky with the tapered tang ?

I believe I did shoot footage of the glue up but I’m not sure how in depth it is. I still have to go through it. I can always do a separate video for prepping a handle

Good morning, my name is Martin Pagola, I am a great admirer of your work, I would like to know if you would be so kind as to share with me the template of this knife that I think has an incredible design.

Hi, I was wondering what the white material in the handle of the thumbnail knife is. It looks great!
@saccoknives2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s white ivory g10, I have a video that I’m putting together of it.

Awesome tip! Thanks man! Is a VFD on a disc sander that big of a deal?
@saccoknives2 жыл бұрын
For me absolutely. I don’t think I’ve ever run my motor at 100%, so having the VFD to be able to slow the disc down gives me much more control over what I’m doing. I can go as slow or as fast as I like

Your local glass supplier will make you a thermal glass platon for $20 +/-. Just apoxy to steel platon. That's what I tried.
