absolutely awesome..!! . many years back on my first ever outdoor photo shoot it was raining & we almost cancelled the shoot as the weather was so bad but I remembered I'd seen a vid from Jason Lanier shooting in the rain & he had very simply put a speed light on the ground behind the model so I tried it & WOW.. to this day the image I got that night with the rain lit up & the bokeh is for me the best photograph ive ever taken . so my advice to anyone if its raining don't cancel the shoot , just do it .. hope you are well & all the best for 2025

Thanks! Yeah, I couldn't find many videos of photoshoots in the rain before I did my own but I do believe I recall that video. Pretty neat trick. Hope you are doing well now and in 2025.😁

Amazing work as always. lowering your shutter speed around 1/30 or slower could give you an awesome effect with the rain.

That's a great idea. I'll try that next time I do a rain photoshoot.😊

As a casual amateur - two of my best photos (imho) were taken in light rain at night or just after - it can give magical effects. Great shots there!

Thanks! Yeah. I personally love the reflections and color on the ground from the rain.😊

Great video! Always super interesting to see how you work (great for learning!). I was wondering how long the AD300Pro battery lasted with the modelling light on, and also how the softboxes handled the rain (did you apply some water repellant treatment ahead of the shooting?). Thanks!

It doesn't matter if it says "weather sealed, resistant or proof"...it still freaks me out to take my stuff in the rain!

Same! I was very worried for my camera more than anything but it ended up just fine.🙌🏼

You are INCREDIBLE. WOOAAWW AMAZING Work Bro. I have a question. The Ad600 is the continuous light and the Back light is the Ad300 pro right? Do you use the ad300 flash light and continuous light ?
@stevesaintil58887 күн бұрын
hey there Love your work, is it a 2 flash setup or the 1 flash thats on is also flashing?? if that makes sense.
@fjhphoto7 күн бұрын
Thanks! The main light was only the modeling lamp at full power and not flashing. The rim light had the lamp on but also fired its flash too.😊

How did your camera hold up after the rain? I’m scared to get mine wet even though it’s supposed to be able to withstand the elements!
@fjhphoto7 күн бұрын
This photoshoot was on Feb 15th and it’s still totally fine. I had an umbrella while I shot so it didn’t get fully wet.

Clarification please...20 seconds in you said you used the modeling lights, but I see flashes going off during the whole session.
@fjhphoto7 күн бұрын
Yes, I used the 300 which was the rim light with the flash. At 00:58 I did my best to state this on the bottom but I should have also re-recorded my opening with the correct info.
