Me and my girlfriend both love running videos, especially watching the Ultra experiences that you and your wife share. You have quickly become one of my favorite KZbin channels. Your professional recording and editing make it so entertaining as well as your humble and analytic approach to teaching. Thank you for the great free content!

That's a lot of 1000m repeats in a week! With so much 1k's at around 3:00 with 2' rest you can run sub9 for sure I think. I'm going for sub9 aswell somewhere in the next couple of weeks. Good luck with your attempt, and I'm jaelous of the trails in your area haha

Do you not think doing intervals 3-4 times a week is a bit much? I’ve always thought once a week or even every 10 days is optimal for recovery! Thanks :)

Good luck with your attempt! I'm also looking to run a sub 9min 3k. How did you come up with this little training block, was it based on any studies or Ingebrigsten type of training? I have been doing an Ingebrigsten inspired training plan the last 3 months of two double threshold wo's / week, plus 20 x 200 hills or fla, 160k / week. This last week I added 10 x 300m (avg 49s) to start sharpening up also for 1500m attempt. I was inspired by this block you're doing so started with the 5 x 1k today. I went too hard in the first interval at 2:53 and then avg about 3:10 over the next four as my legs were a little blown! This afternoon 4 x 4min should be interesting as I'll have to pace myself better lol.
@shavas1003 жыл бұрын
I did the second 4 x 4 wo in the afternoon and was surprised i was able to run at the same pace as the morning 1k intervals and in fact even felt more smooth and relaxed. Was tired going into it so my expectations were low but was pleasantly surprised once I started with the 1sr interval.

Are you going to do the 3 k in the alphaflies?

No since they are not allowed on track racing anymore it feels more right to do it in the spikes. Otherwise I would choose the Alphaflys.
