Probably testing the waters to see if this gets some degree of popularity. If it does we may see a new console down the road capable of supporting a stronger signal across more players, with more features and such. Such tech could also be utilized for other AR games on said system.

Nintendo really should release some type of signal booster (aka a WiFi adapter with external antennas). It could just plug into the USB port or have a USB C with a USB A adapter so you can use it in docked and handheld. They could just call it the switch enhanced WiFi adapter, and you could also use it for gaming online with a better connection, so it wouldn't just be made for this

I feel like this could've been sorted pretty easily just by connecting a long HDMI cable to the switch. Let the karts connect from as close as possible, the pro controller should be fine at that distance. That way you wouldn't have to wedge your whole setup into the middle of the track, which would've been too awkward.
