Everything you saw here was cycles. But with eevee next in blender 4.2 and later you can get somewhat similar results.

That's some of the more complex effect they've done in the film. I'm sure I could simplify it a bit and make a decent effect but it's still not going to be easy enough to make a tutorial on.
