Have literally been mourning the loss of my curls after a year of straightening once a week and never focusing on my curls. SUPER scared to stop styling and focus on the damage but this video totally gave me the confidence to tackle my natural hair and get back to feeling beautiful again. Thank you for sharing your journey!!! You are absolutely gorgeous btw!

@@filmsbynix this video SAVED my curls. After getting my hair trimmed from all thr damage I did her regimen to build the protein back and get my curls and that was the begining of this entire past year of me being completely natural and I haven't gone back since. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

@@CappuccinoBabino Is there anything you used to lengthen your hair before cutting? Because honestly, I don't want to cut my damaged hair now. I want to lengthen my hair a little and then cut it so that I don't get very short hair.

Amanda Walker no but the person who cut my hair combed my hair all the way out dry and caused a lot of damage. She then cut it as if it were straight hair, also dry, so I had to let my hair grow out a bunch and then get it trimmed correctly to fix all of the damage. So it seems like I got a big chop lol.

Oh no 😭 Definitely try to find a curly hair stylist! I found mine on deva curl’s website, but I believe ouidad also has certified stylists as well. I’ve had my fair share of bad stylists as well and it definitely sucks wasting your time, money and hair 😭😭

Gel is the saviour to combatting frizz. Get a small amount and run through your hands so that they are covered and praying hands it through your hair with it upside down and scrunch. Don't touch your hair AT ALL while its wet and drying either. That's the main culprit to making frizz appear.

Yep my hair was long and when it was curly it was curly and there was a point where it went straight I couldn't stand it not coiling at the end so I cut the straight off about 2 or 3 inches and my wash and goes look great because the curls go all the way down !! I don't have the length I had but the curls look so much better and healthy actually probably over an inch grew back already and it's only been a little over a month ! It's worth cutting it

Trust me I’ve dyed my hair several colors and it’s now back to its original tone after I’ve shaved it which I get the urge to shave it like I let it grow out then it gets unbearable to deal with cuz it’s coily and thick so I just shave it off and basically go on vacation🙂trust me you will get your curls back I did👩🏻‍🦱actually I’m sort of a ginger but there’s no curly hair red head emoji☹️☹️☹️☹️

I´ve been straightening my hair for 2 years and had them bleached 3 to 4 times :/ I never really knew that I had wavy/curly hair every time I washed it, it was frizzy but not wavy or curly. Now I began to watch videos of how you refresh dead curls, because I got chopped of my hair a lot and found out they are a bit wavy but only in the lower section of my hair. Now I don't know if my hair structure is like that or if I actually have curly hair but it´s just dead if you know what I mean. It would really help me if you would answer me, your hair is gorgeous

@@amandarrwalker so you also didn´t cut them shot as you had a bit regrowth durinng transitioning from bleached to virgin hair? I heard the splitted ends from th bleach hair would go up. If thats true, it would also meet the virgin hair. Both is horrible cutting them too early so that the hair is very short but protected from split ends a the regrowth, as well as keeping the hair to not feel like having a very short hair cut but breakage also on the virgin hair which means, longer tansitioning.

Your hair looks so good.. I've been using keratin in my hair for past 6months and I think it has my scalp dry and I can't handle the half curly half straight look when its wearing off. Considering stopping all together. I was wondering what products you use in your hair for styling?
@Becksnnc
@Becksnnc 4 жыл бұрын
Don't use keratin if your hair lacks moisture. It's going to make your hair even more dry. Keratin is a protein. You need a balance. Deep condition until your hair isn't dry any more and if your hair starts feeling mushy or looking limp, that is when it's time to add protein.

Do you have any tips on how to wear your natural hair at work without manipulation. I constantly put my hair in tight buns since I am in the restaurant industry and can't wear my hair down. I also didn't know that right buns damage your hair. Any suggestions?

I’ve forgone heat for the last 5 years (literally. No heat). I’ve practically got hair that has NEVER seen direct heat and it still looks like stringy thin garbage (and I get trims every 2 months). I’m understanding why I used heat so much when I was younger but I’d rather sleep in than curl it in the morning so I haven’t started using heat again.

Thank you for the video! One question. I have my hair up when I work and I work fulltime :( I feel like I don't have much time to leave my curls loose. Amy advice on how to treat hair gently while going to work?

Sulfates helps with product build up, you just have to find the right one... because some of them do dry out hair.. Tech italy doesn’t dry out my hair

How long were you transitioning your hair? What kind of products do you recommend for beginners

Great video. What products do u recommend to use after daily showers that include wetting the hair with water only and not using any conditioners or shampoos. So like I do my hair routine twice a week and between these “big” washes I wash my hair with water only daily

So I have a question. As soon as you get out of the shower should you wrap your hair in the towel first and then put in your products or put the products in first and then put it in the towel. Also how long are you supposed to keep the towel on for???

My hair has been damaged for as long as I can remember because I would straighten it everyday, use shampoos and Conditioners that have chemicals that are not good for your hair, always putting heat on it, i would go into pools which chlorine is not good for your hair and yea so I don’t know my real curl type maybe it’s 3a idk though
