As you mentioned, having some experience in the field of fashion and garment construction is an invaluable asset to define the type of business, and hence, embark in the creation of a business plan. Also, considerations need to be given to the registration of the “venture” once it has proven to be viable due to the amount of social and economic liabilities associated with this new “status”. I haven’t heard of the Dressmaking Academy but had a look at their website. They seem to have a good variety in f courses tailored to bridal and evening wear. It’s worth trying out to see if the courses work for you.
