I watched your other vid when you installed the bed. I did days of research for a new bed locally and on line. I bought the Bloom from Brooklyn Beds! I'm not kidding. I Love Brooklyn Bedding! We had to get a funky size for our rv, too. Thank god for Brooklyn bedding. We were in quartzsite, so we ran into Phenix, tried out the mattresses, at the showroom. We ended up purchasing one. We bought it during the Presidents’ Day sale. We purchased it on Monday, and we had it by Thursday. We love your videos. Thank you for your time.

I think I have been watching you for the last 7 years, AT LEAST....Things have changed! Both for you and myself....I moved into a much smaller space in Pensacola, FL, but still a house....my dream, initially was the van.....ultimate tiny home modification for me....BUT my husband had different plans.....I'm truly grateful for him, my husband, because without him, I wouldn't have been moving around, all by myself....He was my jump-start, because I was truly afraid to move in any direction, so he got us going, and I am so grateful....but if I were to ever lose him....I would be back at "square 1", just trying to "be" in some place else....My next space if I would have to go on without him......would be a van....honestly, without him....

the bed thing should be addressed by the rv industry. They charge thousands and thousands for these rvs and you can't even sleep in the bed?? that is nuts.

I totally agree! I think they are concerned with keeping the weight down. That's why they use so many staples instead of screws. I had to consider the weight of a better mattress, because my Bambi only carries 350 measly pounds! BUT, for me adding 40 pounds for a better bed was absolutely worth it.

Excellent information. I personally think your power system is just right. I thought I’d be cooking on an induction burner in my van so I upsized to 400ah of Battleborn Batteries and the 3000 watt inverter which wasn’t that much more expensive. But it all tables up space and weighs more. I’ve continued to use my trusty Coleman stove and haven’t put a dent in my capacity between driving charge cycles. And my 400ah is marginal for 12v Air Conditioners which I may add for my dogs comfort. I wish Starlink would quit changing up the plans and pricing. And it would be sensible to have a 12v system NOT 120ac. Thanks for the video.

Marine weather tight thru hull mounts work great for running cables from outside to inside. Fairly inexpensive and use 5200 marine grade sealant or life calk sealant (Used on boats below water line, will work great above waterline 100% watertight)

How do you handle security for when you want to go run some errands? Do you have to break camp, pack everything up, put it all away, and take your rig with you on a grocery run or whatever other errands? If no, could you talk about how you manage that aspect of boondocking? I think most people would fear someone coming along and stealing their rig and anything else too, if there's no one else there to help guard the rig and accoutrements.

This is such great information! I’m researching in anticipation of going full time, solo…I’m 76. Mainly out of necessity, but I want to do it right and I think I’ll be OK. Your channel is always my first stop! I would love to see an updated 2024 video on your full-time Rv budget…I just watched the one you made 3 years ago, but a lot has changed. I don’t have a lot of years to be fooling around trying out this, that and the other…I gotta get it right the first time! I’d also love to see a new Class C, under 25-footer comparison video. I’m thinking a Class C because I feel very insecure about hooking up and towing a trailer, even a small Bambi like yours! Thanks for all the help!! You rock!!

I love your videos. The only thing I miss is that I don't live in the USA. Therefore most of your stuff (internet access) doesn't work here. But I do get ideas from you. I'm planning to get my RV next year. I've specifically chosen one for it's workspace. Mine has a drop-down bed, so that leaves me with workspace (for my craft) in the lounge area. I don't have a dinette as such, which is great (it's the lounge, table, et all). I'm also planning to bring my craft with me in the form of a small storage trailer as I still want to live comfortably within my RV while I'm not crafting. Mine is light, bright and white inside! I'm now figuring out stuff about my computer. I currently have a desktop, which won't work for me, so I have to change it to a slimline or a laptop. The "coffee" table is to be changed to more of a work table (plus eating spot). I'm certainly contemplating changing both sofa's to storage and workspace! I have my mattress sorted, luckily it's a standard queen size. Of course I don't need that size, so the mattress is going to be a king single, with storage (clothes) chill space as well. Push a button and it's up out of the way! INTERNET is going to be my issue. We have rotten service here in Australia. This is my main concern at the moment. I have to go for satellite (probably starlink), and a hotspot for my phone. That router sounds interesting and I will investigate. Your installation seems to be an interesting option. I'm still working on my Power Needs! I've just subscribed! Thank you!

Along with driver seat comfort, AC, bath and power capacity, I just added “bed comfort” to my highest priority categories in my search for my full time Class B. Have been looking at two twins that can convert to a large bed but it sounds like a fixed bed is the way to go. My main concern was to have sleeping space for occasional guests but they can sleep on the floor or in a tent!

We're in the process of installing a dcdc charger, 200ah lithium battery and inverter. Solar panels will be the next project. I'm so excited to stop fretting over having enough power for my fridge. We're not as small as you but still had to get pretty creative to make it all fit. Well Robin, it took 3 years of 'kinda' looking and 1 months of dedicated searching to land my dream remote work job. Now, to decide how to rework my Moho to fit a dual-screen setup that work will provide. PS: mattresses suck. Mine came with a RV king "Serta" but I donated it to an acquaintance who needed a bed and replaced it with a full sized Purple mattress. Best investment ever.

You are very organized and an inspiration for the rest of us to not except the "defaults" in life and with an RV, modify everything you need to so that you have a home instead of just an RV...is that your next book? From RV to home on the road, nomadisize your life the way you want it! Great tips for the Starlink especially the pole mount, brilliant!! I ended up drilling a hole in the front bottom area, pulling the wire through and then sealing the hole. The only problem is that the Starlink wire went bad (I actually thought it was the dish because it fell off in the wind and busted the stand) and then I had to do it over but with some good foam sealer it was fine. My dish still works fine it just takes a little longer to calibrate. Love the desk chair because just like the bed the seats are soooooooooo bad...come on RV makers you guys gotta catch up!! 🙂
