Cute specs! This got me thinking about my current job. A large chunk of it is taking care of the office when he goes out of town. I could have him just forward the phones to mine and give me remote access to our database! Oh boy thanks for getting my mind churning on that.

Thank you! I'm going to check out your book. I've been a remote contractor for 11 years, working FT as a transcriptionist, and I recently got an additional PT remote job setting appointments (which includes earning commissions). My hours are extremely flexible for both, but I do end up working way too many hours for my FT because I have to spend my life competing with too many other contractors to try to claim too few jobs (this part is unpaid). I work more than I ever did in my corporate job, and I'm tired. It's like I'm always on call, getting very little sleep, no benefits, and paying high taxes. I would love to be able to cut back but still be able to pay my bills, and I've been considering downsizing for quite a while.

The job I had before I retired, was remote. But only from where I was living at the time. When I mentioned I wanted to rv or move to AZ, they told me they wouldn’t allow me to work for them then. So, when I turned 66, I retired full time but now wish I hadn’t. I’m going to have to find another job but because of ambulatory issues, it does have to be remote. I really should have thought things through a little better. My plan was to rv or move to AZ but neither has happened due to lack of funds. Hopefully I’ll find something that I can get back on course. I enjoy your videos, I just stumbled upon one of them (the one where some strange guy was at your door, scary! ). I plan to order your book, too! Safe travels! (Sorry for the long post!)

I was an EBayer. A reseller, on eBay. I was making $2000. a month, over my expenses. My expenses was purchases, listing fees, selling fees, and shipping. But when I got on the road, it was harder. Cause I would hold onto the items that wouldn’t sell. Well you know as well as I do, that there isn’t enough storage for things you need, let alone something your not using.

The great thing about my job is it was turned to 100% remote work about two years ago. During Covid, we were remote, then we were brought back into the office. Our company realized they were bleeding talent because of their "mandatory" back-to-office rule. Then they went Hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Then the Omicrom variant numbers started rising, so they sent us all back home again with a "review" a few months later. They decided to just let us all stay remote with the option to come into the office if and when we desired. I haven't stepped foot in the office in two years! I love that I'm now 100% remote which will allow me the freedom to start the next chapter of my life journey: Full-Time Vanlife!

Hi Robin. We traded airline travel for an LTV Unity in 2020 and, since we were first time RVers, we turned to KZbin to learn. We watched every single video you’ve made, and we learned so much from you. Thank you. You have our attention again with this video. We’re curious about the 43% less burnout of remote employees (10:53) and wondered if you might share the source you quoted? Thanks Robin!

I'm currently a hybrid employee. As a recruiter, there are times I have to be onsite to screen and host candidates or manage our big events. I love the people I work with and feel that they trust and value me so it's tough to think about leaving. So, my big hurdle is figuring out where to park a rig during the days/weeks that I have to be in person. It's good to know there are options out there if/when I do decide to move on.

As a veterinarian, my job can't really be done remotely, but eventually I know I'll want or need to retire from clinical work, so I've kept a weather eye out for other ways to use my knowledge. There are phone resources like the Poison Control Hotline or doing practitioner consultations by phone for labs or companies that make drugs or pet foods or the like. It does make me wonder how remote workers handle spotty cell service in more remote areas. Do you go into town on work days, and save more remote travel for your days off only? Can you get better cell reception with a big antenna on your roof?

I am not sure how I feel about these recommendations. Not convinced. Especially RV delivery jobs, as most would not allow you to use the RV and also, it's not your RV so it would be like moving in and out of RVs every few weeks, if they even let you. Also, the remote work options has decreased significantly and continues to do so, the farther past the pandemic we get, although there is some push back against that, from workers who want to stay remote. I also recommend people be VERY careful when using the job boards and applying for these jobs as they are now inundated with scammers. I was working full time on the road, as a nursing instructor, and that job also required all instructors to come back to campus. I am still looking for the 100% remote job in my field.

As a nurse check out working with CROs or Research nurse. I've worked from home in the recruiter department for PPD and we're always hiring remotely. I've also worked for insurance companies doing remote prior authorization for radiology scans.

They are also starting to hire tele nurse. You do history interviews..... Follow ups.... the no hands on part of the job. Talking.

@@nursekate6772 I currently work for Dental Insurance going over benefits and claims...all remote. Although I just turned down a promotion because I didn't want to be full-time in the office.

Would ANY job let you live where you work???? Then why would you think making deliveries any different?

@@terryl.cooper Are you just looking for someone to interact with because I never said that an RV delivery service should let the person delivering it live in it. I did not say that ANYwhere in my comment.

I'd like to get your book but have a Kobo, not kindle and I don't want to pay for a membership like Audible. Is there any other ways ? Please add it to Kobo!

I was thinking simple work like surveys. Would I just need a dedicated email and PayPal. Is there anything else I need before I try out one of your suggestions. I should mention I am in Canada. I hope I can do this here.
