Great work! This is very helpful. At 7:08 when you say you brought in more light, how/what did you do?
@georgekamenov_Ай бұрын
Glad you found it helpful! All I did was just turn on a light that I had out of the frame to fill in some of the dark areas.

Recently I have been trying EL ZONE and I think I can't go back to anything else!
@georgekamenov_4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've also had the opportunity to test EL ZONE a few times and it's definitely super intuitive once you get used to it. I do feel False Colors are a bit quicker to work with though, but maybe that's just because I haven't had enough time with EL ZONE.

Thanks George, subscribed after watching previous vid re luts you made. How do you switch so quickly between the monitor luts i.e. how and where did you map them on fx3? Thanks
@georgekamenov_6 күн бұрын
@@Patrick-mg7vv I set one of the options in the Fn menu to be for the luts. I can then just highlight it and use the wheel on the back to quickly scroll through them. You can do that for a lot of settings that can be mapped to the Fn menu and it's quicker than always diving into the menus 😅

I recently watched your DaVinci Resolve editing video, and my mind is kind of blown with the tricks 🤯. I have one query: is the Sony Alpha 6400 a good camera for someone starting travel vlogging on KZbin? Or any suggestion 😊
@georgekamenov_3 ай бұрын
@@IAlmostDidIt I personally still love my a6400 but if you have a bit more money to spend I'd recommend something like the Sony ZV-E10 II. But if an a6400 is the max of your budget, I personally think it's still a great camera.
@IAlmostDidIt3 ай бұрын
@@georgekamenov_ Yeah, thanks for the suggestion, but for the Indian market, I can only find the 'SONY Alpha ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera' online.😅
@georgekamenov_3 ай бұрын
@@IAlmostDidIt Yeah, it will depend on availability because it is a newer model but for what I'm guessing you'll be using it for, I do believe the 2nd version offers better value 🙂

@georgekamenov_2 ай бұрын
In general, if you see gray without any of the colors for overexposure or underexposure, then it just means most of your image is around middle gray. That doesn't always mean it's "correctly" exposed, it just means you're not going to have issues with information being lost in the shadows or highlights. For the zebras - I prefer using them when I'm in more of a hurry and I will use false colours whenever I have more time to set up my shot and make sure everything looks the way I want it. But I use both zebras and false colours, it just depends on the situation.

Hi George, I follower here... My question is not directly about this topic but at least this video is about color grading. 🙂 I'd like to use SLog3 with my a7cii but I realised that the free version of DaVinci doesn't support the 10 bit 4:2:2 SLog3 footage. What would you recommend if I want to keep using the free Version? Is there a way to overcome this? If not what else should I use? Thanks in advance for any help.
@georgekamenov_2 ай бұрын
@@lightsandtones I think your best bet is to use something like a software called Handbrake to convert the footage from 4:2:2 to 4:2:0. A fellow creator that goes by WhoIsMatt had a video about it called "How to easily edit 10 bit videos in Resolve free version". Think that should help you 🙂
