Fertility awareness has totally changed my life! TRUE FAM is NOT the rhythm or calendar method, though. Rhythm/calendar is just guessing at your ovulation based on the day of the month and assuming how long your cycles are or when your next period will be. This is really unreliable. TRUE FAM actually indentifies your fertile window so you can decide what to do with that, and it doesn’t matter at all how long your cycles are or when your next or last period will be. This way is MUCH more reliable for birth control. Thanks for sharing!! You’re totally right, if you have a consistent cycle you can use calendar or rhythm BUT stress or random events can change your cycle (which is fine) without warning.

Glad to see a video like this. I learned this method in a Catholic seminary under a class called "Sex and Marriage in Catholic Understanding." The class opened my eyes on the beauty of NFP and the billing method. Unfortunately, the only time a well functioning hormone is shutdown is in women health under contraceptives and they still call it Healthcare. Most medical students are not thought this. We often talk about green energy but never green health when it comes to avoiding pregnancy. Also, the pharmaceutical industry doesn't talk about the terrible side effects of this pills. Many women are going through hell. And that lives the power to the man who cares less about his sexual discipline while the woman takes the burden of going on a pill. No woman wants to be on a pill. Why isn't the society exposing this method to our girls from early age?
@unknownkingdom10 ай бұрын
Green health. Nice term. Did you know that pharmaceuticals are bad for the environment too? Amounts of the pharmaceuticals pass through our bodies in urine. Then that goes into the sewer, eventually back into the water and environment. It doesn't really break down like urine does. So animals end up eating or drinking it, etc.

Okay, so, speaking in lines of 28 days, you start by getting your period on the 1st. It last until the 6th. From the 7th to the 17th - that ten day stretch is the ovulation, even though it probably comes to an end around 14th to 16th, you wait until the 18th to be safe. So you have about 10 days before the next period hits?

Most men don't even know we have cycles. They think everything is just linear and random. Like fertility is constant and that hormones only involve pms and periods. I had to explain to my 32 year old boyfriend how it all works. I didn't know many of these things until recently. He is now more at ease knowing i am virtually infertile naturally. He even almost agreed on the retraction method (not orgasming inside me during the fertile days), but i am ok with latex free condoms too (I get uti from latex... Ugh). Personally, i would let nature run its course. Men want sex but not babies? How unfair is that. They want to control our bodies but have no idea how without chemicals. Men invented the pill to try and control us but more and more women are seeing what a dangerous miserable scam it is.

@NaomiMisora10005 жыл бұрын
So when I see the discharge, does that mean that my ovulation is over?
@StephanieRZ4 жыл бұрын
We have different kinds of discharge though. Particularly after our periods, for about 3 to 4 days it'll be dry, then it begins to be fluids, and overtime, it becomes creamy(fertile window- approaching closer to ovul egg release), and then it'll be ovulation. After ovulation, it begins to be PMS or, our Non-fertile window. Which means we're able to be sexually active without the concern of pregnancy. Really interesting. Though it's very important to know when someone ovulates*. There's a Basal Body Thermometer for this, or it can be felt, or symptoms of higher flush of temperature may be felt, tracking our symptoms with apps and calendars such as Clue or our phone's calendar. I hope this helps anyone who comes across this comment. ✔ Best to use this *only* with a loyal partner, a good partner, and/or even have spare protection for other days of the female cycle(unsafe fertile days-which should be avoided) to prevent pregnancy, and/or STDs if it's not a trustworthy partner.*

I've never had an abortion so I don't know the proper time to have sex after. Ask a doctor to be safe . Your cycle is based around your period
