I use todoist and sunsama together! Todoist does quick capture especially when I’m on the go much better than sunsama. However sunsama has the best UI and functionality in terms of calendar blocking.

Hey Francesco ! I tried Sunsama and actually loved it as well, however there are several features in todoist I could not give up on. For example the mobile homescreen todolist widget - one click for adding a new task or mark it as complete - how did you manage to overcome this gap? In addition - Todoist got so many integrations while Sunsama still doesn't (Make and Zapier is still missing). Glad to hear your insights. Regards.

I would love to see some insights into integrating Sunsama with Notion. You have a lot of Notion videos. Seems to me that Notion can work as a more macro view and use Sunsama as the micro view at the daily and task level.

It looks really interesting- Though, where do you put Task Details and Links to projects / other resources needed. I can't seem to see any option for expanding tasks / adding the details as you would in ToDoist.

For anyone that cares to chime in, can Sunsama be used as a regular personal/business calendar as well? Or is it really mostly geared to just getting tasks and projects done? 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Actually, I ONLY use it for regular personal/business calandar & tasks, but NOT a project management tool. I use Notion for that, and will basically import my Notion projects as "tasks" into Sunama to schedule time to work on said project (the tasks for which can be found inside the Notion page for that project). I literally never ever look at the backlog in Sunsama ever 😂

Additionally, I never use the full focus mode. I will focus for my DAY (so that I can see my calendar for the day next to my tasks). I do this because if I was in full focus mode and have a lot on, I will get carried away with that one task and miss whatever meetings/other tasks I have on that day. I do love being able to track time for each task to get insights. I've also pitched to the Sunsama team if it's possible to expand their task calendar integration to not just track the TIME for each task in weekly insights, but show reflect tracked time in your calendar (or use planned time if not tracked, but add it into the calendar) when those tasks were actually worked on (vs. the simple ✅ that appears, which is fine if a task had no planned time attached, like responding to an email or something. Though it would be useful if those check marks were coloured by channel, too!!). I'm a very visual person, and would love to see if I'm trying to force myself into a routine that I don't intuitively adhere to, so that I can plan more around my intuitive habits for the following week :) (what does my week look like at a glance when I'm on my period vs. when I'm not? Am I getting started later, or working on certain types of tasks at different times? When do I appear to be most creative, because I habitually tackle creative tasks at that time, despite what I had planned? etc.)

Francesco, do you still use Sunsama? I see your website promote's Akiflow (as a sponsor). I use Todoist and Sunsama as I feel Todoist is great for capturing and organising tasks into projects, and then Sunsama is brilliant for providing a clear and uncluttered tool to plan each week and then bring in the Todoist tasks I want/need to do each day and week. In short, I find Todoist ghreat for task capturing and organisation, and Sunsama greta for mindful planning and focus. Curious as to what your weekly and daily planning tool is now, in early 2024. Thanks!

Ok, I've had a go... and I simply can't justify the price. Love the time boxing drag and drop features, super smooth, takes entry is ok. However, the lack of tags, no NLP, Android app is poor and no plugins with outlook or Gmail quick adds is disappointing. Todoist with it's Kanban view over a week, quick entry, integration and plugins everywhere, filters, AI, Habit Tracker + real time 2 way integration with Google Calendar at $4 per month wins hands down. Sunsama simply does not offer a strong enough feature set to compete. Pass for me.

I tried Motion (used it for a year+), and just found it wasn’t working for me. I’m now using Sunsama + Trello, and really seeing a difference. I swear it’s the interface - clean, with very little clutter, but I can switch between the “big picture” and just seeing today’s tasks effortlessly. I’m going to pay for another month, and if I’m still happy with it, I’ll sign up for a full year.

Another quick questions Francesco... as you mentioned at kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4XbeaqVarqWrLcsi=z11P0aWI78Z-c_vb&t=536 you don't use the Weekly Objectives feature in Sunsama. Is that still the case, or did you come back to it? I feel like Weekly Objectives are "the glue" in Sunsama for ensuring the tasks scheduled for each day are based around the current projects' objectives for the week. Just curious, as I know one's modus operandi inevitably shifts over time as circumstances and available tools/tech change.

How do you use Sunsama with Project Management? I think Sunsama is great, but I get tripped up if tasks live in a Project (where I want to store documents, notes, etc) how you can use Sunsama with project management? Do you use a project manager tool in tandem with Sunsama? If so, whats your workflow?
