Yes, very helpful. I’m a 27 year old in Chicago (have been here my WHOLE life) and I definitely struggle with making friends at my big adult age. Especially ones that are consistent. I literally talk to 2 people everyday, my Bestfriend and my girlfriend… I’ve even tried bumble bff. I’ve met some great individuals there and we still talk on and off but never get to the point of hanging. So I’m going to actually try some of your methods. I work downtown at the hospital and soon will be living in Hyde park… so im going to try my luck with work friends, solo outings, and Instagram. Thank you so much!

I just moved here at 24 and am planning on signing up for a rollerskating class + self defense class and hope to make new friends :) Sometimes when I'm just out and about solo I have the best chance at finding new people to talk to, but youre right where talking is one thing, actually hanging out regularly is a whole other

Hi Na'shon, I'm a chicago native too and currently live in HP and I think you will definitely love it! It's very chill, but it has a large black population. I'm 26 and its so hard to meet ppl at our age. I tried bumble BFF as well and its very hard. We should get coffee

This year is definitely my year to go outside and meet new people over the summer lol. I've tried Bumble BFF off and on for 3 years and and its drained me. Most of the time they just want your IG just to add to their following count & that actually annoys me. I have met 4 lovely ladies that I am proud to consider my friends now, but other than that its tough. So now I am just going to try and get out my comfort zone of meeting people at events, classes, and such. I love meeting people in person even though people have told me they were scared to approach me. I have met alot of fun people from the bars though lol. Definitely hope we both get the community we want to have and maybe one day we could get coffee or tea

Oooo this is a tough one, I know my guy friends struggle with making friends too. But what I do know is that for men probably finding something in common y’all both like to do like making music, basketball or other sports? Frfr building trust for both men and women
