I've seen a lot of Ron Kaufman videos on customer service and I have so much respect for this man. 😊

What sort of content does he have? It seems interesting, but it doesn’t seem like they’re on KZbin.

I still remember him brainwashing the civil service & where I worked here about how 'customer is king' & how we had to bend backwards to every cutomer needs. After working for longer, i realised that was such a damaging philosophy. Cuatomer is NOT king. Needless to say, our service fawned over him n he made a tonne.

I'm glad Mr Kaufman found his home here. I think we're so hidebound and grim that we need people with positive attitudes to remind us why we're here - not just to exist, but to live. Thank you for interviewing him again!

At around 7:50, Ron mentions never living in the middle of America, but he would like to venture there sometime. I'm in Singapore as well and have been for over 20 years, but I grew up in Indiana, including living there into younger adulthood. After experiencing other parts of the country, including the Pacific Northwest, I appreciate my roots there more as well as what middle has to offer. Many people in middle America view those from the East and West Coasts as having an attitude about middle America being "flyover states", etc. I appreciate Ron's interest in visiting the areas.
@balisaani11 ай бұрын
You're absolutely right about "those from the East and West Coasts (...) having an attitude about middle America being "flyover states," and I won't debate the reasons or merit of said attitude, just relay that the first time I was invited to a proper (very posh) New York dinner, I heard the lady of the house, presiding at the end of the long table, say: "But out there..., in America!..." It was my first (but not my last time) hearing a New Yorker (or Bostonian or Miamian or Angeleno) refer to "middle America" as "other." In fairness, there is no contempt, much less hatred expressed, just the notion that middle America is different than coastal America, and that NY is so mixed with foreigners and high net worth individuals, it's more of a Babylon like London, and not really America. Having lived in Singapore myself, as well as on both US coasts, and only visited Indiana for business a couple of weeks, I can assure you that there is nothing it has to offer on the scale of Singapore, or Los Angeles and New York or Miami.

The great thing about Singapore is our political stability and a government that is forward thinking. We need that kind of stability for such a small country to thrive and we can't afford the type of political system like in the US where there are constantly in-fighting between the 2 big parties, focusing on the which political parties gain the upper hand over another rather than the working on the progress of the country.

what singapore is doing on the aging population is the best option by extending working age and promote active aging. the biggest problem is the low birth rate. there is a limit to immigration without a big back slash from the citizens. i m not surprised the govt resort to test tube babies all brought up by govt institution, who will behave and act more like pap than the normal immigrants. then please don't complain again you want immigrants :-)

get the magnet for the mic - that fluffy sticking out the shirt horrifies all sound recordists - or even better use a boom and shot gun mic just out of frame. I assume you have a team helping you - go for some tighter framing. You have to realize that someone like this guest is used to seeing some production value - and you can deliver it with some simple tweaks. Apart from that - I love your videos!

@hc132611 ай бұрын
I am proud to say my late husband who was born & bred in Sgp also went round picking up rubbish in my estate when he did his walks. I used to tell my colleagues that my husband was “The resident garbage collector in my neighbourhood” when they asked about his occupation. In his last few months when he became invalid from cancer and I had to push him in his wheelchair for walks, I had strangers coming up to me to say hello and that they remember him as they always see him picking up rubbish. I have never been so proud.

I would like to express my displeasure pleasure on the littering issue in Singapore, we hired the foreigners cleaners to clean up Singapore but in the other hand we had these foreigners workers which littered all over the Singapore this really annoying me 😤
@hc132611 ай бұрын
I agree but I suppose civic consciousness is not part of the environment they grew up in and they just need to be more educated in this aspect. I am sure some culprits may be Singaporeans but more often than not, it is the foreign workers who I saw littering. For eg, they left their styrofoam lunch boxes on the roadsides in my estate or sometimes when I am stuck in traffic jams along expressway, I can see plastic bags and styrofoam boxes among the bushes along the expressway and these must have been left by the workers pruning the trees & bushes.
