Hi Ojisan , I enjoy your channel, but I have reservations about Malaysians coming to Singapore to stay and commenting on our food. If they prefer their own cuisine, perhaps it's best to stay in Malaysia or head back to European countries. Just sharing my perspective. Thank you.

To be honest, I’m glad to have people from all over the world who are interested in contributing to the society in a meaningful way here 🎉 Singaporeans are after all mostly migrants who banded together and built a community at the start so let us continue that spirit…

What a wonderful video of a lovely family - super heart warming to watch. East Coast is the best part of Singapore to live, without a doubt, having lived in Katong for many years before....miss it so much now being in another part of Singapore now!

Emil explained why he hadn't learned to speak Singlish - that it's really awkward to speak another language that's not your native language. And I totally sympathize. As for carrot cake, I think many Westerners are bewildered at why the dish is called "carrot cake" when there is no carrot in it (hahaha). It's got to do with the fact that radish is called "white carrot" in Chinese. In the early days, Singaporeans are not so good with translation and they therefore did a direct translation of the "white carrot" and that's how the dish was named as "carrot cake" in English (a steamed rice cake with radish and then stir-fry with egg - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!). Nice video and really glad to see Emil and family happy in SG.

Marine Parade Estate off East Coast Park Beach was built on reclaimed land, hence the taller blocks were built with only 4 units per floor called point-block of around 1000 Sqft per unit. Some units at Marine Crescent/Marine Terrace faces the sea-sunrise orientation and the East Coast Parkway.
Really good video, appreciate the interview and interactions they have with their neighbor. It's pretty rare to know your neighbor unless you go out of your way to actually talk and say hello to them once a while.

It is a small group of people that is prejudiced or behaves racist against foreigners. We must understand if we don't have workers from Malaysia, Bangladesh, or India to help with construction, handyperson, contractors, and cleaners, Singapore will pause there. Which MNCs want to set up an office or factory in Singapore they would like to bring their people over? If these MNCs don't set up shop here, we will not have enough jobs for the locals. Appreciate the present, and we will feel it is a gift.

There's actually two types of ipoh hor fun. One dry and with a darker sauce, which i think originated in KL (idk why it's called ipoh horfun if it's from KL), and another soup based one with prawns and chicken, which is the "true" ipoh horfun. I had the same problem searching for ipoh horfun to eat in sg!

In Australia, the summer heat is😢very very hot. It's so good in Singapore to escape from Australia summer.😂Not cold and not hot in certain month.😂life is not perfect really. Punctuality is a non-negotiable virtue in the Japanese corporate life. I was supporting my Japanese directors in hiring a local staff for a particular function in my company in the capacity as a hiring manager. We shortlisted this local uni graduate with second class upper honours degree but she was 20 minutes late for the interview. Both directors were extremely not pleased with her and spent 10 minutes of the interview time reprimanding and lecturing her and then asked her to leave. 😆. She claimed she was lost as in she could not locate the office but my boss said "you have got a hp and you know the tel numbers of our admin dept, so why don't you call and inform that you would be late?" End of story.
