Yay I'm glad Tiler was nice! She's my fave :) Sad to hear the others were catty though, and it makes me wonder what they think about Miriam Miller, who got Titania as an apprentice and hasn't even hit one year of her corps contract yet but has already danced Lilac Fairy, The Siren (Prodigal Sun) and other featured roles. Maybe people are more chill because she's a tall dancer and those roles are usually the tall roles.

Hi Katie, I really appreciate the fact that you are so honest in your videos. So often when audience members attend a performance, all that they see is the final product. They miss the blood, sweat, tears, and drama that goes in to make every show a great one. Thanks so much for sharing your story. Your videos have encouraged me to keep on pusuing a career in dance.

You are wonderful at story telling! Most videos where the youtuber tells a story have so many cuts because of fumbling that the connection gets lost. But because you're so eloquent it was so easy to go on the journey with you!

Dear Katie, My teachers say that I have strong allegro, artistry, and barre, but my turns are not the best. I have a double, but not a triple yet. Is it possible for me to become a professional dancer in the future even if I don’t have the strongest turns? I really enjoyed this video today!
@vangoghtothepolls77237 жыл бұрын
Emma Schulte My turns aren't the best either, so I'd be interested in knowing aswell!
@lourdes51106 жыл бұрын
Even professionals have weaker areas than others, but turns get easier and easier just by practicing(I know from experience because my turns used to be my weak area and now they are one of my best things.)

What was it like to have a parent make such a huge sacrifice for the family for your career by moving to NYC? I was always curious how that happened for other dancers and how it works out for everyone involved, how tough a decision it is or not. It must be amazing to have a parent do that for you for sure.

Hi, this is not ready about your story, but more wanting to know your thoughts. With you being someone who danced at New York City ballet did it ever bother you, or where you even aware of the ballet stereotypes to hat Balanchine created? Since you are quite pale, and ballet does just lack people of different skin tones. What would you like to see moving forward?
@nikop35716 жыл бұрын
how can somebody be the nicest person but act like that? i dont think so not a dancer, have nothing to do with ballet. but, it is so interesting to see how there are so many diff worlds in the world. meaning, she is talking about some balcony scene and im sitting here thinking ook, aaand..? means nothing to me, in my world. but obviously to a ballet dancer it means everything. diff perspectives, different lives.
@2kooldancin6 жыл бұрын
He was just diva-ing out. Some dancers do that. But most are super nice. Katie is just a nice person that she forgave him immediately and just ignored his previous behavior so they ended up becoming friends.

Katie, I'm not a dancer, but I do sports where flexibility helps a lot, and I have to say, your videos are GOLDEN.
