Even she is taking care of her hair really good and it's visible of course the main reason for it is actually her natural hair. I like her advices and I am trying to use them, but what ever I do my hair will always be thin because I have naturally fine and frizzy hair. Her hair for instead is thick, on the old videos you can see that her hair is fabulous...so....it's just like that or you have it or you don't, but care matters just to keep what you have for some old days 😂

For those trying Calia or any natural shampoo - when you start using a natural shampoo after having washed your hair with a shampoo with sulfates, silicones, etc. Your hair will feel and look awful for the first 2 to 3 months of use. Shampoos and Conditioners that contain silicones and other chemicals that may your hair appear shiny and healthy actually coat your hair follices and strands with silicone. When you switch to a natural shampoo and conditioner, your hair will start to shed this layer of silicone, leaving your hair feeling dry, causing dandruff and extra shedding. This is completely natural. Your scalp is shedding the chemicals from the follices as well as returning to it's natural state of being. This is the time to load up on oiling your scalp and ends. After about 5 months of use, your hair will begin to heal itself and the natural shampoo and conditioner will become noticeably better for your hair. Natural shampoo will also not lather like other shampoo. You will need a larger amount of it because its purpose is to clean but not strip your hair of it's natural oils, so your hair will not feel "clean" to you because shampoos with sulfates, etc. Will strip your hair of the natural oils because it contains chemicals to completely eradicate oils leaving your scalp and hair feeling "clean" but in actuality, you're damaging the balance of oils in your hair. This is also what causes people to have an excess in oil production the follow day, resulting in having to wash your hair again. Because your scalp was stripped of the oils, it produces more oil to compensate.
@reflectiondetox3832 жыл бұрын
This sounds terrifying. As someone who just chopped off most of my hair due to damage, and is trying to work with the small amount of hair I have left which is also damaged. I'm really afraid of allowing my hair to go through that much stress for 3-5 MONTHS. I fear I won't have any hair left after that, lol. I'm gonna try it, but I hope it's worth it.

I wash mine the same way you do, only with diluted shampoo - and in between the shampoo and conditioner I lightly spread baby oil through my hair from the ears down. The conditioner gets most of it out, but leaves enough in to keep moisture in the hair. I use no products in my hair except for oiling sometimes before washing. I wear it bunned daily to keep it protected, and sometimes wear it covered (helps a lot to keep it clean). Sometimes during the week I will do a scalp only wash (keeping the length bunned but pouring diluted shampoo through the area not covered by the bun, it's great for refreshing the scalp and only takes five minutes! (The bun and hair length remain dry - I just lean over the sink for a scalp wash). My hair is currently at calf length and I don't use heat tools on it.

This is exactly what I do, detangle it before washing and always clutch it high on my head to not tangle it up while bathing. But I also invert my hair while applying shampoo BC I don't want to get the hair dirt of oils and shampoo flowing on my body and causing breakouts on my forehead and back then lightly wrap it in a t shirt and dry naturally. Also I like to apply a bit of a shampoo on the lower part of my hair strands.

I’m glad I’m not the only member in the the once a week hair washing club! I’ve recently started using a rice water rinse when I wash my hair. I’d love to know your thoughts on rice water!

Can you make a video about what you buy at the grocery store? It would really help people who are trying to be healthy but don’t know where to start or where to buy your products!! ❤️

Also if you don’t know staying in hot baths, shower, saunas, and hot springs can increase your blood pressure. To prevent this drink water before showering, and another way way is also don’t shower with hot water, but warm, or cold water. So you’re correct that you want to wash your hair with warm, or cold water.

A.R.M.Y BTS the scalp thing is just for oil control, its fine if your hair's so short that you end up shampooing all of it

Right on sister! I recently started using Calia shampoo & conditioner (Purifying/green bottle) and also a Tek wooden brush, thanks to your vids & recommendations. I really like the Calia, and in LOVE with the BRUSH! I’ve always had crazy bad static issues with my hair, but not anymore! The brush for me has been a total game changer. Appreciate ya! Xoxo

I have oily hair and i live in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, which is a very hot city. It’s been arounf 35 degree Celsius these days so my hair has been worse. I doubted that if i tried to only shampoo my scalp like the way you do, my hair wouldn’t be clean enough. I usually shampoo my hair the way they do in commercial, like grabbing all of your hair to the top of your head, things like that. I tried your way the other day, still in doubt. But it works, surprisingly. My scalp has been cleaned for 2 days, despite the damn weather. I’m shocked. I apply normal conditioner to the bottom of my hair, leave it there for a few minutes while taking shower. Then i rinse it off and use natural shampoo made from Vietnamese traditional natural ingredients like bồ kết (gleditsia - google translate lol), bồ hòn (nutsoap), cỏ mần trầu (goosegrass), hương nhu (holy basil),... on my scalp only. Normally, my hair would be greasy one day after the washing day. Today is the third day after washing and it just started to be greasy this morning, not as great as yours but i’m so happy. Thank you a lot.
