Win Rate is a topic of heavy discussion in trading.
We all start by thinking that the goal of trading is to get a super high win rate, so you can always win and be right in the markets.
As you grow as a trader, you realize that your win rate is just one of the variables in your trading approach. It goes alongside with your risk-to-reward ratio (RR), your trade frequency, approach and more.
It is important to realize that you can control your win rate and you can choose what you want it to be.
Finding yourself as a trader, finding out what trading approach you like and your risk appetite plays a big part in framing your trading edge.
Myself - I am extremely patient and disciplined, I do not like losing a lot, so I opted for a high-win rate approach and only taking high-probability trades.
Others - they are riskier, can trade more, don't really care about losses - so those traders can trade a lot more frequently and with high RRand eventually still turn out consistently profitable.
In the end - all that matters is that you find what works for you in trading and then just stick to it.
Remember - the basics in trading work the best!

Recently I switched to the 4Hr and 15mins timeframe for entries. Two pairs. It gives like 1-2 trades per week, a 4-7Rrr and a high win rate I prefer this because it's less stressful and more profitable. Thank you Iliya.

Incredibly broken down! Really made me think of how I do things… I trade too much and it’s not sustainable and nice. I guess I’ll work with my frequency, I think that’s the problem.

Glad to hear it was eye-opening bro. Take a step back and carefully look at your data (make sure you have it firstly haha). Evaluate all the “unnecessary setups” and make rules to avoid them. Then - have the patience and discipline and practice the Less is More mindset. Push yourself to do it and it will become a habit. And trading becomes fun and enjoyable. It’s a game of hunting for the best setup. Keep me updated!

I just want to know, By taking 1 trade a week how do you increase profit size. What will be your Risk on capital for 1 trade a Week Bcz (Eg- Should we take 1% risk per trade and take daily trades OR 5% risk per trade with 1 trade a week ?)
@TradingFanatic
@TradingFanatic Ай бұрын
Nice question, but a bit of a result-based and wishful thinking. You first start small - taking 1-2 trades a week, 1% risk, 2-3% profit. As you learn and gather data - you can then make informed decisions on how you can increase your earning. I would NEVER put 5% on a single trade, that's absurd. As for 1% risk per trade and take "daily trades", what if you lose 3-4 trades in a row - you are pretty much in a big drawdown, that will likely get worse. In this video, I didn't talk about Risk per Trade and risk management, but maybe I can tackle it in another video. It depends on your Trade Frequency - the higher the trade frequency, the lower the risk per trade should be. If you take 5 trades per day - you don't want them to be all with 1%, cuz it can get ugly. But if you take 1 trade per week - then sure, 1-2% risk on that trade is what you can do. The goal is Consistency my friend. Until you stop thinking about "how can I make as much money as possible", you'll never start seeing consitent result. Those improvements are done once you've reached consistency and gotten good with the basics. You can increase your earnings by scaling in, yet ensuring that your first position is on breakeven. You can increase your earnings by going for 2RR to 3RR for profit, if your data supports it. You can increase them by increasing your risk slowly, something like 1.5%, only once you are sitting nicely in profit in your account.

As always great Video. I am pretty much doing the same as you now as I used to be a high frequency trader but it just becomes so boring just sitting watching the charts so now I mark my levels and then just set the alerts. I also found dropping the amount of pairs helped alot. So now basically sticking to only 2 pairs.

I love your contents, you changed trading for me, spelling the truth about the need to actually journal, I also have seen that implementing the daily bias also changed my trading system, I have been strategy hopping looking for a strategy that worked best, (THE HOLY GRAIL) through backtesting, but since i started journaling my backtested datas, I have since learnt some important things after sticking to one strategy, I will soon start trading live to experience the market live, keep dropping more fire videos, I will come here to testify once more, GOd willing I become profitable, thank you.

I think this is consistently trade and funded account increase than 1 2% risk per week 1 2 trade with higher timeframe more profitable good win rate What is your opinion?
