Wow! So proud of our son Kyle. Kyle is exactly who he says he is. He and his Dad have been in cybersecurity doing multiple jobs for years now. It isn’t a lie or a gimmick on what they are saying in this video. I can vouch for both of these young amazing men. I’ve seen my son sit down and work 8 hours days at home with 4-5 lap tops in front of him. It is very real and possible to have multiple jobs. He started when he was 18 like he said. He is the real deal. Proud Mom here!!!❤

It’s crazy because a lot of these jobs are mainly senior type roles. So that forces everyone to work contract work for years to gain that experience. So then after working contracts for 5-7 years or so, you can then apply for the senior jobs online. That’s how I’ve been seeing it now.

I remember being in high school, I was 16 yo. I had a meeting with the careers guy. He recommended me to go do a BTEC in cyber sec, instead I struggled and pushed myself through university, thinking it was a better idea. I should have listened to that man, I would be a lot better off. The job market for software engineering sucks right now, so I'm looking for different paths looking to get into cyber sec instead. Big regrets, but life goes on. I need to figure out how to channel this feeling of loss in the right way to power me forward. Thanks for sharing, god bless.

Delta also has a headquarter in India and our standup were early so that we could meet with our team members in India. When I learned that one of my Indian team member who was contractor only made $30K, I felt so bad for her because the amount of work and the long hours was so brutal.

I’d say, if you’re comparing the two chose sales if you are a strong and confident communicator who isn’t fazed by rejection. If that’s not you chose CS and skill up asap. It would be awesome to hear a descriptive video about what a Jr. IAM Analyst should know and the practical skills and job roles they do on a daily basis, and how this transitions into a more senior role and the upskilling needed for it. Maybe other cyber roles as well depending on the people in your network with different roles and experiences. KLaw! What's good my brother! You are too official with the power moves. Can you let me know what I should be focusing on to get the highest paying position as an IAM? I noticed there are different titles like IAM Sailpoint, IAM Architect, etc. Or is it just IAM? I'm currently an SQA and it's just boring and going nowhere. I just got laid off and funds are ridiculously low, plus I'm supporting my family and paying mortgage and bills. I need something where the skies the limit aka trying to follow in your footsteps bro! Hook me up please!

I'm on my 3rd IT job within a year making 50k right now. I got my A+ and N+ and jobs feel like they're trying to undercut and not pay more. My goal in life is to reach 70k a year and I'm happy with that.

he's not making 400k. listen to how he switched up from 300k to 350k then 400k in the same sentence. the average salary for this is 106k. he's selling a dream in the title for clicks & to sell a course. As someone in the industry (network engineer) I can tell you right now he's bullshitting.
@KLaw0
@KLaw0 6 ай бұрын
Thanks Alex for your wonderful insight. I didn’t know me working 3-4 jobs that are all over six figures means I’m only making 106k. Go check out the over employed Reddit where over 360k people are doing the same as me. It’s a bunch of other IAM professionals doing the same as me. I have a google group of a 100+ folks also that have multiple jobs. Do your research before you type a silly comment on someone’s video. I’ve had interviews showing paystubs and all of what I do.

Bro said "(network Engineer)" as if that somehow makes him a cybersecurity industry know all be all 💀💀💀. Go search up average salary for a network engineer vs ANY security role, and you'll see that even working 3 security jobs at the same time (very possible) could easily add up to $400k while 3 network engineer jobs might cap out at $240k ON THE HIGH END.
@AlexJaeger716
@AlexJaeger716 6 ай бұрын
@@Dverme doesnt make me a cyber know it all, i added that part to show the realistic side of working in the tech industry which you obviously are trying to break into. Adding to that, you have to have a basic understanding of networking if you want to be great at cyber. Senior engineers where i work make around 140. The way these titles are advertised are misleading, if he’s working 3-4 jobs at the same time then sure he can make 400k but people are reading titles like this thinking they can get certified and make this kinda money & that isnt realistic.
@AlexJaeger716
@AlexJaeger716 6 ай бұрын
@@KLaw0 sure if u work 3-4 jobs u can make that much but your titles are misleading. Videos like yours are making people believe they can just get certified and make this kinda money over night. 3-4 jobs is unrealistic especially in a project based tech environment where u might have to work extra hours to make sure things get done. And most people wont be able to handle 3-4 because of burnout. So not adding those extra details upfront is definitely feels like clickbait
@KLaw0

@@AlexJaeger716 Not trying to be misleading or clickbait I’m simply just sharing my story. That’s why I said “How I went from 40k to 400k”. I get what you are saying now. But yeah I’ll clarify in another video about it. But if you watched the entire video I did towards the end saying how I did and it’s possible for others if they put in the hard work. But like you said most people won’t and that’s fine but I think I have a unique story and I decided to share that’s all.
