This is such an encouraging video! Usually when you see future/current trainees at commercial law firms on KZbin etc they've always got a 1st class degree and always got firsts and high 2:1s in their modules. There is not enough about for those it takes longer to get the grades and 2:1 they need. Inconsistent uni grades is not talked about enough when trying to enter this profession

@@simranjeetkmann it was my situation at Uni as well, it took until 3rd year Law to really nail it! Yet if not consistent all way through so many firms assume you were lazy etc and want perfection which just isn’t true or realistic!

Tip 3 really helped my turn my grades around too, so much value is in learning the way to write the answer rather than knowing all the content 🥴 KUDOS on turning your grade around and sharing how others can do the same!!

I was in the same boat as you! I was working at a 2:2 in my 2nd year and some of my final year but with intervention, I pulled my final grade up to a 2:1 and graduated with a 2:1!

I am currently in my third year and I am curious on how the final grade is calculated. Hypothetically, if my y2 was 4 subjects and they were all 70% and my third year was around 50% with 6 subjects, how would it be turned into my final degree classification ?
