How I Went from a 38 to a 50+ Average in 8 Months of Playing Darts🎯

I've been watching your progress for a few months now, dude, and it's been excellent. I myself only picked up darts in March last yr, and was coming in at 40avg. Fast forward to December after hundreds of hours of practising, and I'm now banging on the door of nearly 70avg. Keep up the great work dude

@SamsonDoesDarts180 I found a dart that suits my throw style (front of dart and point grip) in the Bolide Voids 01. Slowed my throw by probably 60% (was quick like Smith), changed how my stance was too. I used to have both feet flat to floor. Now I have a slight lean forward with more weight on my front foot. I can usually spend a good 2hrs a day just throwing at T20. It's all definitely helped my game out. I'm now hitting nearly a minimum of 1 T20 per visit, obviously, the dodgy 41, 43 or 45s still creep in 😂 but that's the next step to my game, too try and stop them creeping in.

@ oche position, thumb position on my grip for more comfort. My routine is based around big single and double check out 2 and 3 dart finishes. Increased my pb’s on round the clock doubles from 8 hits to 10 to increase each month. Try and get to that 40% hit rate.

Keep up the good work. 60 avg is a very doable goal for 2025. Just remember to stay humble to the dart gods, as I got cocky beating Dartbot lvl6 3-0, then when on to lose the next 2 matches 6-0 by going 0 for 30 on doubles. 😫🤣

Been playing 3 years. Only about 2 years playing 501. Just hit 88 avg for first time. 180 two days apart! I need to get a video set up like you to get better.

Well done Sam and Happy New Year! An update on the Bolide Void 05 24g I got from Santa, I swapped the points for 40mm and a nice set of new Red K Flex, 2 days after Christmas, I banged in my first 180! They are a really nice set of darts. Maybe a set of 03’s would suit you, similar to the asps, but with more grip? Worth a thought

(Active thinking near midnight for my silly head is quite common)..... How about you put aside one evening per month, and play a few of us subscribers on said evening? Say we send over our DC names. And you put a feeler out for who could be available on the day? I'd genuinely enjoy that, i think most would. Plus it gets some real play averages for you.... Just an idea mate?

Well done mate. Have you ever played local league or pub ,bc I started like you and I started to play local league my real averages are gone ,bc nerves affects so much in the real games. Especially you have to win game to win a daily tournament. I am between 23 to 30 darts If i play standart 25 dart per leg. I started playing around 35 dart per leg after 9 months increased a lot. I really reccomend 100 darts in 20/19 50 darts Bulls eye and jdc Challenge

Alright pal, I started playing in around March time and now I'm on similar average to you. My aim is to get to a 60+ average this year but mainly improve on my checkouts and counting. Leaving a finish or better finish from positions mid leg where I wouldn't have a clue a single 18 would have left a finish over a single 20 for example.

@SamsonDoesDarts180 yeah pretty much mate, I play online in a godarts league with similar average players. Puts a bit more pressure on when you play actual people even if it's online. I do play dartbot level 6 but not very often.

60 average would be excellent progress, but at the rate you're going I think that's definitely achievable! I'm aiming to get to 55 myself by the end of 2025, and try to be more consistent in my game. I won a match 3-2 earlier this week where I threw a 12 darter to start the match, but also had a leg where I averaged 38. 🤣

happy new year so for me new year new target darts always target for the swiss points 30mm storm perfect grip and dont damage board ive gone for the crux 02 23g darts soon as they arrive crack on and also attend local darts academy more and get some january stats in to work on

Damn dude I've been playing dartbot for about a month, just under probably. Getting 60+ average now sometimes 70 :O I used to play UK pub pool and snooker though so I don't know if that helps
