Hi Bobby, I have a serious question. What are your views on these townships that are so freaking far away, often over 30-40mins away from PJ and KL. Are these trade-off’s even worth it? Would you still be interested? Pay lesser but have to deal with more traffic on a daily commute?

I thought the same too probably 10 years ago. But after seeing so many of my friends who bought a house in Cheras because they work in Cheras, and then switch jobs and work in BU. Jialat. Then if you work for yourself, you can stay near or far entirely up to you. Of course having properties further from city centre means you get more bang for buck. But if you buy properties in townships, at least it makes it worthwhile, because a premium township will definitely appreciate in property value compared to those standalone properties. So if you're staying far for the purpose of a bigger house, make sure you buy into townships. Look at Desa Park City, look at Setia Alam, these are what people call "so far, so expensive" last time, but now as they become cities of their own, everywhere is "near".

Easy to say so. A boss of a hotel chain might have few houses and many luxury cars, this lock down might shut many of his businesses from him having to sustain hundreds of his staff's salary and in the end closing down his business. So he shouldn't buy his cars or houses at the first place?

insurance is dependent on car price, so this car is insured at 350k even though i bought it at 300k because that's apparently the market value, and road tax is RM6630. The sakit one for road tax is the Rapide, RM15,630

Same like everyone who stays in setia alam and works in kl or stays in klang and works in kl. Thing is, you will switch jobs one day, so distance is already a moot point. Most important is weekend is lovely. And this mco makes companies more willing to let staffs work from home next time
