Cut content from this video: right after I talk about how the Omnitrix is the perfect tool to get Ben to stop seeing himself as the center of the universe, I had an extra line where I say- “If anything, what convinces Azmuth to let Ben keep the Omnitrix should be Ben’s display of empathy not just for other humans, but for other aliens while in one of his alien forms, proving that Azmuth’s original vision for the Omnitrix- works. I would add that Gwen also have an episode or two herself and how she grows as a character. Such as after Ben realises Heroing while it can be fun is just as much a Burden then anything else, a title and weight you must carry. Her realising that her cousin has changed and how hard a Hero can be. I.E Lucky Girl, I always enjoyed Gwen as Lucky Girl but I feel like there could be more. Her finding ways to help when she feels useless is also a good thing I want her to do. If she can't fight she can be a support. And if nobody else can fight she'll find a way to work around it. Learn to fight uphill like Ben learns.

Personally, I wanted Ben 10 to keep going where it was. Omniverse didn't "end" really, it got cancelled. The final season was supposed to be a road trip or something. I liked how big the world had gotten. I just think Gwen, Kevin, and Max worked better with Ben than Rook.

As someone who absolutely adores the classic series of Ben 10, I dig a lot of what you’ve presented here. I was just expecting this to be an overlay of the story and events across this show, but I was pleasantly surprised with the direction you went instead. I like how your version has a lot more emphasis on character development and especially mapping out the various lessons Ben can learn over the course of the series. I can even see this being integrated in a way that can still have the show play out in a semi-episodic manner without resetting Ben’s personality every time. That said, I have a few disagreements. For one, I don’t know if I’m comfortable with the Plumbers becoming corrupt. I think just a small division, like the Rooters idea you mentioned, could work, but the Forever Knights already fill that niche of “Evil Plumbers”, so I feel that might be a bit thematically redundant if handled incorrectly. I’m also on the fence about the casting choices. On the one hand, I understand where you’re coming from when you say that the actors aren’t getting any younger, and it’s not the end of the world since this is meant to be a new interpretation of the franchise instead of a revival of one of the old shows. On the other hand, I believe some voice actors should reprise their roles, particularly Steve Blum as Heatblast and Vilgax, but just the ones that still have the chops to return. And some of them might want to come back anyway, so I don’t see why some old actors shouldn’t come back. Overall, this has a lot of potential and I wouldn’t mind seeing this get made. Any new Ben 10 content is a bonus in my book as long as it’s not trash, and this is… well, not trash! Great stuff 😊

I like how he doesn't make ben re-learn lessons, but I think he exaggerated some of Ben's flaws at the start. one of the first things ben thought of when he got the omnitrix was that he could help people, and when vilgax's drone attacked, Ben said "Those people are in danger because of me!" showing that he is willing to take responsibility for his screwups from the start. Ben had heroic qualities from the beginning, and I think this rewrite takes away some of that idea.

I like the idea of it being revealed that master control wasn't actually a thing. That the only thing preventing Ben from switching forms on the fly or staying alien for longer than 10 minutes is his ability to put himself in other peoples shoes.

Really like the ideas here, but one thing that kinda gets me is premise of Ben growing. It's done great here, but Ben 10 Alien Force Seasons 1 and 2 did at least try to do it throughout the Hybreed War, with him being a leader. THEN Season 3 threw it out. Gotta admit I love your ideas! Only tidbit I’d make would be that if Curse Breaker is added, he should instead be a student of Charmcaster’s. This way his immaturity is more warranted, and he’d be more likely to cause havoc or even take some of Charmcaster’s belongings. I completely agree that Gwen should be magic, rather than an anodize. I’d definetly make Phil the head of the Plumbers, or the Rooters. Or have Phil work for the Forever Knights, since they’re more xenophobic. Perhaps even going as far as placing control collars on captured aliens so that if the Knights need to instill fear into the public on aliens, they can just as easily release an alien, make them cause havoc as a result of the controls while the Knights detain them. I’d wanna say they’re rather effective. I’m talking about as effective as the police force from Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo in detaining the green beast. This way it does make the Knights’ presence more known, but also restricts Ben in what he wants to do or say. And it would also allow for Will Harangue to make a debut, regarding how dangerous aliens are, based on Ben’s transformations. Ben shouldn’t just be understanding that some aliens are imprisoned, just for being aliens. I’d like to argue that some aliens, depending on their morality, are evil. Let’s say Ben gets captured as Fourarms and has tech developed to restrain him. Say a pair of cuffs that pull harder the more he tries to pull. While Ben would be aware that it was cruel, even he would have to admit that said cuffs would be useful to restrain Volga’s or even Kevin. So perhaps we have Ben keep the pair to serve as a reminder as to what he went through, as well as have him as Greymatter or Max in the background work on reverse engineering them. I’d have this in the background, as well as have an episode or two revolving around gathering materials or blueprints on them in order to demonstrate the significance. The payoff would be the modified cuffs being used on an alien that the trio can’t stop on their own. They should only be used when no other choice is left, and we have Ben argue for that since he knows how restricting the cuffs were. So he almost never uses them unless he has no other choice.

honestly as a Ben 10 fan your idea is pretty cool. I enjoy this direction you took though I feel one character they kind of appeared could be interesting to delve into...and that is Argit. In the actual franchise Argit is a friend Kevin found when he was at his low but is slowly brought up more and more as Kevin reforms. I think for this vision you could make Argit and Kevin's relationship a parallels to Ben and Grandpas. Just age him up and make him slightly sleezey due to growing up in a bad environment, but this leads to him not being the best parent to look over Kevin. I wouldn't say you should make their relationship toxic but more like a unprepared brother looking out for his younger brother. Then as Kevin becomes more of a supporting person to Ben it could cause Argit to improve more and more and become a better person through Kevin. I feel it could be fun and could allow them to demonstrate other family dynamics outside of a semi normal one that Ben, Gwen, and Grandpa showcase.

With the evil Plumbers, it would be interesting if it was only the Plumbers on Earth. In the original canon, the Plumbers were created by the Galvans to act as a kind of Green Lantern Space Cops group. For the rest of the universe, you could have a united Plumbers group that acts like how we know Plumbers. In Omniverse that is retconned as George Washinton creating the Plumbers after watching future Ben fight Vilgax. So maybe there's this story of how the Lantern-esque Plumbers land on Earth to expand their operations and deal with alien criminals and they work with Washinton to create a branch of Plumbers to work on Earth. But as time goes on, humans become more xenophobic leading to a split. The larger "main" group of Plumbers (called the Rooters) are xenophobic and maybe work with the Forever Knights to lock up aliens in Area 52. But there' still this small group of Plumbers that work against the Rooters and actually stayed true to what it means to be a Plumber. Maybe Grandpa Max was part of this smaller group.

I would also rewrite on why he took off the Omnitrix. Maybe it malfunctions and causes Ben to be trapped in his own amalgam form and this traumatizes him enough to take off the Omnitrix. With him finally realizing the true danger of the Omnitrix itself and not just seeing it as a way to become a hero. He would learn the downsides and retire to take a break and try to cope with the fact that he was an alien monster for a few hours. In my eyes THAT should have BEN the main reason why he took off the Omnitrix, it was the watch itself that was the reason.

I still say Glitch Tennyson is my favorite character in the whole franchise. Glitch's personality is him being smart, mature, cautious (although he will gladly fight head on when needed or when someone messes with Ben), polite, sarcastic, mischievous(which shows that despite how smart he is and mature he is compared to his brother he still is a child.), kind, is hard to scare (contrary to belief he does have fear.) and hotheaded, ps this isn't Glitch's full personality, there is stuff I probably missed or can't remember. (in other words he his not exactly like Ben *neither original Ben or reboot Ben although original Ben and reboot Ben aren't to different* but isn't the opposite of them either and the same applies to the Gwens, the closest he is to in personality are reboot Ben and og Gwen and even then he is pretty different from them to the point that he is his own complete character personality wise. plus his ability to assimilate DNA from the omnitrix and fuse it to whatever tech he is upgrading is awesome. Plus his design is pretty cute (and it would be awesome to get some clothes that his brother doesn't have.). Not to mention Glitch's abilities work perfectly with Ben and his omnitrix, him basically being Ben's half twin brother just has so much potential for both Ben and Glitch. Plus Glitch's design represents both galvanic mechomorphs and humans pretty well and does look like a mix of the species. Also malware would be a great villian for Glitch. Also the Reboot is way better then some fans think it is. It sucks that Reboot had him stuck as a car for most of the series for some stupid reason. Also the reboot has already done some of the stuff you mentioned in this video. Oh and the Ben 10 2016: reboot Ben is voiced by Tara Strong just like classic Ben.

Very interesting rewrite. I especially like that you make Ben grow as a character with each of his adventures and that Vilgax (at least from what I get from the images you showed) is essentially Homelander but even worse due to being much more powerful and without any of his humanizing traits. Some of my personal ideas for a rewrite of Ben 10 are: - The Anodite form is a magical transformation achieved through special training with magic. - The Plumbers do exist, but Max is not part of them, with him never having had anything to do with aliens in the past. - Kevin initially is a villain who uses his powers to run illegal businesses, but after a long time he redeems himself and decides not to bother the Tennysons or anyone else. As for the voice cast, these are all my ideas so far: Child voice actors as Ben Tennyson, Kevin Levin and their alien forms. I just think having child playing child roles is so much more natural than having an teen/adult in that role. As for their alien forms, it's basically still them but in other forms, so why not? I'm pointing out that in the alien forms, the actors' voices get modified via programs specifically for it. Child voice actresses as Gwen Tennyson and Charmcaster. Exact, same reasons for my choices for Ben and Kevin, only as female now. Fred Tatasciore as Grandpa Max. I think the voice he used to voice Master Shifu in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness suits Max very well, especially since Shifu and Max are the wise mentors of the main protagonists of their series. Tom Schalk as Vilgax. He voiced Omni-Man and Megatron in Death Battle. That's all I need to say.

Not gonna lie, I'm really a fan of a lot of these ideas, and I would love to see them in another Reboot. I'm a huge fan of Verdona, so having her in this is awesome, and having Ben get an Anodite transformation is equally as cool. This is just a suggestion, but I feel in the later seasons, you could introduce some weaker or "useless" to show Ben that not every alien in the Omnitrix is this super cool combat ready powerhouse like Heatblast or Diamondhead. I would personally pick an alien like Bob The Blob or Walkatrout to fit this role or maybe a different alien entirely. I love these ideas. I'm a massive Ben 10 fan (Alien Force and Omniverse are my fav series), so seeing all of these brilliant concepts brings such a smile to my face. I have a few questions if you're okay with answering them: 1: What would Ben call his Anodite transformation, and would you change up its abilities? 2: What are the first 10 and additional aliens? 3: Are their any aliens abilities you would change?

I know I’m not the OP, but I’m in agreement with 1. Some people do fall back into old habits, and Ben was a 10 year old kid. Kids make mistakes. I think what they meant was just how much Bens character reset over the classic series. He’d learn the same lesson like 3 episodes in a row, which got old, but for it to happen once in a while makes sense for a kid. As for the aliens, some of them really did just flat out replace older ones. Ditto and ripjaws especially got the shaft as their replacements had Al their power (duplicates and water breathing) none of their weaknesses (shared pain and super dehydration), and something else on top of that (sonic screaming and literally anything besides being ripjaws) for all grey matter was made out to be useless, their intelligence and abilities to roam largely undetected would have been useful in far more moments than the mere 3 or 4 episodes they came in clutch. It’s understandable your going to have some overlap in abilities, lots of species in real life are like that, but to have one alien outright replace another goes against what azimuth made the omnitrix for. Every species is useful, is valuable, is important.

I written a cinematic series of ben 10 about 2 years ago that follow what Vilgax said in his episode: a cosmic war with ben in the middle of it by having the Omnitrix. Ben's dad would talk about Max hardly being in his childhood (do to working for the newly built plumbers and going under cover as a forever knight for 2 years), Kevin goes to Animo so he can make Kevin an Omnitrix that could hold and control his alien mutations, the galactic enforcers as a part of the plumbers working to help star systems with the war between Vilgax with Psyphon, vulkanus with the weapon masters, the Incurseans with their way bad army, Aggregor and the plumbers working with the galactic tribunal. at the end of a season ben have to leave earth for years due to the forever knights reveling ben's identity.

True.there’s potential for growth in lots of villains too, not just Kevin Albedo can start off as the arrogant and envious assistant of azmuth with the root of his problems stemming from not wanting the burden on a child. He likely heard from azmuth a lot about how he has made terrible weapons and created many great things that the world was not ready for, and the universe was certainly not ready for the omnitrix let alone a child. As he goes on he grows to respect Ben and what he does with the watch, finally believing Ben not just worthy, but ready. I also had an idea where Ben dies (rip majoras mask) and albedo uses his omnitrix along with other things (ectonurite dna to retain consciousness, dna repair gun to fix body, maybe an alternative Ben as a base) to bring Ben back to life. Since you had Attea encounter Ben as a kid, you could have it start as her taking advantage of him to try to overthrow her father, but his acts of empathy for all life have a lasting effect on her. She succeeds in overthrowing her dad but after seeing Ben and in denial of her own empathy she goes full throttle in the other direction and becomes a totalitarian dictator, and like The Star Wars Empire or Azula, does bad things to her own men for the smallest infraction. He people overthrow her to put her father back on the throne. She goes back to Ben for help, but this time, she returns to the Incursion Empire embracing her empathy rather than suppressing it

Tbh, some of my favorite villains are ones that contrast with Ben, Like vilgax having far more control over his powers, unlike the reckless young ben, Or as simple as steam smyth's "past was better" thing, that contrasts with ben stylistically too

I always think ben 10 needs to be retold, but using specific things and concepts put into the other 4 series and doing something like in naruto/naruto Shipudden, avatar character development, kid cosmic lessons in heroism, Introducing aliens as in Valerian or Starwars and using the mystery that the first series created about the Omnitrix

I like most of the points you made, except for that Alien X part. You know, it's not really a good idea to give a young Ben Tennyson the most powerful species in the universe. It kind of invalidates most of Ben's aliens if he has that guy and his Omnitrix available. I would rather Ben did not have Alien X, rather he had Way Big or, better yet, Atomix, or even better, give him The Worst.

If i worked with cartton network on this cartoon i would put it on adult swim cause then it can get more real with the story and i don't think it would be him be selfish why not he regrets his selfish side and wants to be better but his guilt doesn't go away it stays he has just become a little better but he still regrets it.

I get it why you want ben to learn and understand but there a thing about ben understanding people fear but the problem is that he afraid of clowns yes in the original ben 10 he has a fear of clowns which is like his main fear of until he gets older has not been fear him anymore and also Gwen also can be mostly jerks not just Ben himself

Yeah, I get that. I too think it's important for Ben to overcome his fear of clowns and for Gwen to be the jerk at times, that's why I said that Charmcaster and Hex should be a reflection of Gwen's worst traits such as being condescending or judgmental. I think every member of the main trio could go through their own arcs of character growth- Grandpa's story could be about fighting the corrupt Plumbers systems he helped build, and Gwen's story could be about learning to be kinder with her words & not see herself as being above "immature kids" like Ben.
