I know people are saying words like unenthusiastic or depressed looking about Mark Ronson. But guys he's just a little introverted when speaking to people. He's written great music like "Valerie" featuring Amy Winehouse. I believe a lot of musicians are little introverted, but the extrovert in them shines through in the music they create. So give him a break :)

I like it but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. I takes directly from multiple artists and songs, not just the eras they're in. can't help but groove to it though but that's cause it's been done before. not that there's anything wrong with that. it's undeniably catchy!

Have you ever seen interviews with his sisters? (Charlotte Ronson & Samantha Ronson). They’re all very sweet, very humble, a tad bit shy, and EXTREMELY talented. It might come across as dissatisfaction or lacking enthusiasm but it’s not. They’re amazingly talented and passionate artists and don’t feel the need to be braggadocious about it. Check out the videos Charlotte did with their Mum. She’s a great lady! It gives some insight into their early family life and upbringing. Cheers ☺️
@meemee60895 жыл бұрын
@Veerle-to add to what you said, not only just creative types, but people in general are not all extroverted. And even extroversion/introversion are not always black/white either. I’ve also seen a few interviews and I pick up on some possible workaholism/perfectionistic tendencies (sometimes abused as a distraction from other areas in personal life. Can’t say for certain if this applies to him, though) as well as a touch of introversion/anxiety. Creative exhaustion, unless you’re a creative type, is somewhat difficult to explain to a non-creative. Not everyone is comfortable being outwardly overly emotional across the board, especially in public-and for sensitive types (which I believe him to be) it’s that much more vulnerable. Could be genetics at play, too. There’s most likely someone similar disposition wise in his bloodline. Although, maybe not! My family is all very outgoing and charming and I’m the black sheep-I came out of nowhere, so I very much know the whole “everyone who’s not an extrovert is confusing to me” schtick. I know some people (😏) that just generally unwind mostly around their nearest/dearest.

He should have mentioned all the artists who made real funk from the 70s and 80s, (Ex, James Brown, P-Funk, Zapp, Sly and of course Morris Day and the Time AKA Prince AKA Minneapolis Sound...) those are the people that they pretty much got their inspiration from... But for those who haven't heard the ol' school funk from back in the day. Look up musicians like Parliament-Funkedelic, of course look up James Brown, look up Sly and the Family Stone, and of course look up some Prince (or Morris Day). And for more, just Google these kinds of artists, the list goes on and on...

For the people who says that this is a direct rip of of 'all gold everything' it definitely shares SOME lyrics, and SOME melody, except that Uptown Funk is actually good with a lot of actual musical talent on stage. Listen to Trinidad, then listen to Uptown Funk. That's the difference when you put people with actual musical talent together vs someone that the music industry pumped out to you like they do every day.
@Mushimo229 жыл бұрын
When Uptown Funk came out, Trininad James was promoting it on twitter. In addition, when it went No. 1, Bruno congratulated James along with the other producers. I'm sure James is somehow involved in the creation of the song and is being compensated.

@itapurwati532310 жыл бұрын
Eh, it's just "Don't believe me just watch" line, not all "vocal element" whatever that supposed to mean. Trinidad James got writing credit and registered on ASCAP, so he got royalty checks from them. Bruno even gave a shout out to Mr. James when the song hit #1 on US chart.
@Lousson269510 жыл бұрын
I heard a mash-up of both songs and thought it was a little more than coincidence. Thanks for the lesson.
@jasonmoriparty10 жыл бұрын
I should've been more clear that I'm not saying it's a rip off: it's not. It's definitely a legal, cleared interpolation and James is making good money off it. But it's still a huge part of the song, so I'm just surprised he didn't say "We had heard that Trinidad Jame$ song and we took inspiration from that for the vocal melodies" or something of that nature.
@itapurwati532310 жыл бұрын
jasonmoriparty Well, Mark Ronson just told how it started after he was involved. Like he said, it was originally from a jam that Bruno did with his band on his show. Bruno did a mash-up of his own song with James Brown's Sex Machine and Trinidad James' All Gold Everything on his concert. Too bad the videos had been taken down after Bruno decided to record Uptown Funk with Mark. So maybe that's why he didn't mention Mr. James, because he didn't inspired by Mr. James, Bruno was.
