Your the Best! Just drop and drag for the most part. U should have way more views for all that U do! Let me guess, did U get that deal from Zzounds for the Rane72 mixer and 2 LC6000's? U gotta use a Laptop with that setup. It's those Big Jog Wheels Right that lured you in...lol. I would like 2 get 2 LC6000's for the Prime 4 soon! Right now I'm using a Techincs 1200 mk2 on the left & right. It's very tempting to get 2 of those LC players...

When I use sync manager and only tick the playlist I want to transfer to my Prime 2 internal SSD the music that was already transferred before disappears and only the new transfers show up, seems like you have to tick all the boxes every time you transfer new music, any thoughts on this?, thanks.

So I double checked.. it shouldn’t replacing everything Or losing your old songs . Just the checked playlists or crates should be carried over . I’m not 100 percent on your issue . Definitely get in the denon dj forums and someone might have some better thoughts/ feedback. I’m honestly not sure mine doesn’t do that .. sorry your having issues , let me know if you get it figured out . And if i see something I’ll get back to you too . Thanks.

Not sure if you mentioned it somewhere in this video. I made several file moves, folder deletions, etc on my MacBook. Then I went in to Serato DJ and fixed any lost files and reorganized some crates. I opened Engine DJ and updated my Serato playlist. I am now ready to use the Sync Manager to update my SD card. My question is if I select all of my playlists to export, will all of the files overwrite the previous files, or will it be a speedier process and only sync changes?

question - when you put the prime go in "computer mode" would you be able to see the SD card or USB stick connected to the Prime Go from your computer (like with Prime 2 or 4, in computer mode, you can see the SATA drive from your computer)? I'm asking because I want to sync the drives that way instead of having to pop out the SD card or USB drive from the Prime Go and inserting it to the computer every time I want to sync my library. Hello there, nice video. I have a question. I've be using engine dj software for sometime now along with my prime go on the macbook pro. So my macbook pro broke down and the lacie external hard drive i use to store all my music files has been acting strangely. So I bought a new M1 pro 14" macbook pro and a new Samsung T7 ssd external hard drive to store all my music files. I forget to mention that I have a separate external hard drive that i use when I dj with my prime go. How do I transfer everything into the engine dj software without losing the playlists I have created on my old mac and my old external hard drive?

So let’s say I have a playlist in the software and on my usb. Now I want to add a couple song to that playlist that is already synced. If I use the sync manager for this task will it transfer all like 100 songs in my playlist which would take a while or just the few new ones. I’m basically asking if you’re only adding a couple songs to an existing playlist is it better to just drag them rather than use the sync manager?

@@Seriouspup the way I add songs no matter how many. Once the drives are connected then I launch engine dj software then I click on the drives devices panel. not the sync manager. Then I click on the drive I use with my prime go and then I click on the collection panel of that drive and simply drag the files in a playlist or create a new playlist and just drag and drop.

I'm a little on the fence with the standalone. It's hard to compete with a large laptop. I can navigate so much faster on the fly while i'm djing. The touch screen seems to be counter-intuitive but, maybe i just need to stick with it and hope to get faster. I'm a little confused on the organization of my music. I've seen some tutorials of folks creating crates. I don't really understand how that's different than making a playlist. I just created playlists of each of my genres. I feel like i shouldn't have to do that.

If you add hot track into collection. The engine will read it from that location on your hd... If you move it youll get a missing tracks error? So move it to the final location in the hd first uf your so inclined i guess. ?

Hello , It does alphabetical order normally. But yes you can arrange by folder name by moving folders around as you wish. Unless you’re using the smart playlist option which arrange by album , artist , BPM , or comments . Thanks.

i exported my engine dj playlists to my USB, however when viewing the songs through file manager on my computer all of the songs were not sorted into their playlists but sorted by artist name. is there any way i can fix this?

Hello , thanks for watching and your question. Unfortunately to my knowledge in engine dj software files will be in the correct playlist but yes in the music files via your laptop it will be in alphabetical order. Although any changes should be made in engine dj software if that software was used .. if not it will cause errors to your music files. If a USB stick was made via your computer ( formatted as exfat or Fat32) and not made from the Engine dj software it should maintain the same files and playlists as your laptop. Thanks.

Bro, I've made a mess! At beginning of copying over playlists (in engine dj) from usb to new ssd internal drive. I thought I added first playlist to the ssd incorrectly, and deleted that playlist from ssd collection. It appears that it's also deleted playlist from usb stick. I used an app called Disk Drill to recover files, which worked, but i dont know how to situate back with engine dj/library folders (tracks/playlists are red)

Hello, tricky question. To my knowledge and what I would do ..is erase the lost playlist and then re-drop & drag back into engine dj … if you use sync manager / or try to drop them it back in .. it will duplicate and you will still leave a red track… as the file locations have changed . It’s not fun replacing playlists but might save time in the long run to just easer old lists and re put them back in from recovered usb or drive playlist . I actually just had to do this too.. due to a corrupt drive in my prime 4 . It’s like starting over .. which i pretty much did .. I uninstalled engine dj and then reinstalled it .. started from scratch and had to erase my prime4 drive too. Luckily i keep all my music on my laptop so these files are not affected by any engine software and then I just have add them back in engine and export them to drive again .. thanks and good luck. Have you ever transferred songs/playlists directly from one HD 2500 to another HD 2500? I just purchased another unit and want to transfer all the playlists/songs to from my original unit to the new back up unit. My music manager on my PC does not have all of my original playlists. @@DjMartiniMidwest Thank you for your response. I guess I did not explain it well enough. What I want to do is move the files that our on my current HD 2500 directly to my new HD 2500. My music manager on my PC got corrupted about a year ago and I only have about half of my playlists on my computer (it is a Windows system). What I am trying to avoid is having to rebuild about 20-21 playlists that each run about three hours of music (different genres). I was hoping there was a process to hook the two units together and transfer the music from the old unit directly to the new unit; thus bypassing the PC all together. Hopefully, that is a little better explanation. Thank you.

@@briandonaldson4515 Unfortunately, I just ended up rebuilding all my playlist. Printed out copies of each to paper and then manually built everything again. It was a pain, but I now have two fully functioning units. A very serious drawback to their technology.

It confuses file locations and will leave your SSD with corrupted files or missing files. If & when you sync with engine dj . So Possible but not recommended in my experience. Thanks.
