I’m an older, non-Arab, American Democratic voter. At first, I supported Israel and its right to protect itself from terrorism. But what is happening in Gaza is inexcusable. The US cannot pretend that we have no say in the matter. Also, what is happening in the West Bank is unacceptable. However, the situation is complex. We average voters cannot know the subtleties in foreign affairs, especially concerning Iran and Saudi Arabia. There is much we do not know. But we do know this: the Gaza killings must stop.
