In my opinion there was never a void century and some of sophisticated futuristic Empire. The current One Piece story is in fact the void century. Luffy is not a “new Joyboy or nika” Joyboy and Nika have always been different names different nations gave Luffy. Joyboy in Wano, Nika in Elbaf, Warrior god in others,.. Joyboy was pirate? So just like Luffy. Joyboy made a promise to the Mermaid Princess? Well,Luffy did make a promise to Sharahoshi. There was an evil Ling that once ruled Dressrosa 900 years ago and enslaved the small people the “Tonta kingdom”, the old wise Tonta oldest guy said and apparently they were liberated by warrior and the new king apologized to them. The evil King is Doflamingo, the other king who apologized to them is Riku. All hear things were happening right in front of our eyes. The only cities that live under water are caused by the action on Imu. But Vegapunk wouldn’t know that. When Roger found the one piece he laughed and said he wished he had lived in the same era as Joyboy. He never mentioned if it was in the future or the past. And who else could make them laugh with a very silly and goofy dream more than Luffy who’s been doing the same to us for decades? My theory is that Momonusuke will learn to scripture the poneglyphs from his grandfather. Robin can read and also write the message. Which would explain why his kingdom Ohara was the last to read the poneglyphs. Vivi might acquire the devil fruit to travel in the past, which she would use to send a coded message 900 years ago to prepare for what’s happening right now. Also the 20 kingdoms were probably aware of this and that’s why they decided no one should access that throne in order to avoid this coming war but Imu managed to do it and took over the throne. The devil fruits might actually simply be creation of Vegapunk and he just never realized it. So is mother flame which is technically nuclear power. Just like Albert Einstein he developed nuclear power thinking he could fix the issue of energy which seems to be the main reason for war around the world but instead the United State and their Allies NATO (which is very similar to the world government in one piece) decided to use that power to weapons and literally destroyed everyone who refused to yield. The murdered and displaced populations around the world. They pillaged African, still have them under neocolonial rules, they literally depend on Africa for natural resources while Africans suffer and starve. The celestial dragons are simply the “Juuuz” and Marijoie is Israel. They murdered and displaced millions to occupy their land that they now call “Holy Land” but recently the whole got to witness that that’s where the demons of this world reside just like where the demons in one piece also reside in Marijoie. But although many of those privileged settlers (the celestial dragons) are extremely stupid, sadistic, racist and just like the settlers in Palestine. You also have very evil powerful geniuses. Like the Figarland family in One Piece. In our current world those are people like Netanyahu, The Rockefeller Family, Rothschild Family, Nuland, Henry Kissinger, Larry Fink of Blackrock that owns almost every American and Western European corporation, the Antony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, Lindsay Graham and other Christian Siononists would idolize Israel. Saying they wil sink the world is into darkness is exact what’s happening. With Zelensky and Netanyahu who are both from that group have started wars in Europe and the middle that could escalate into a WW3. The last War in Onepiece seemed to be inspired by the American civil war. There is a reason Oda used A guy who looks like Abraham Lincoln to host the last world government reverie.

I have a crack theory that Blackbeard will somehow become the final villain after helping Luffy take down Imu, or he'll take down Imu himself somehow. When analyzing Blackbeard's future role in the story (the details of which are very unclear at this point); and taking into account how he always seems to walk into battles, struggles and gets stomped for a bit, then comes out at least semi-victorious anyway; and how he seems to be an underdog, to me it's not a stretch to say that there might be a path where he gets powers that are equal to Imu's and he presents a major threat to Luffy and the world It might even connect to Xebec and how maybe he knew about Imu and the truth about the void century, way before Roger did, and the incident at God Valley was related to him trying to somehow take some of Imu's powers

Among them is Saint Shalria (Charloss’ sister), whose reaction seems to indicate that the younger people in Marigeoise don’t even know where their status comes from or why. Oda has been trying to hammer into our heads that what individuals want and what entire factions want should not be confused with eachother. God Valley, were pirates or marines in the wrong? Roger and Garp seemed to just be on the same page at that specific key moment and battle. It does not mean marines and pirates are allied. It could possibly even be theorized that Joyboy and the 20 kings were on the same side, and seeked for the ancient kingdom to share its power and technology. But AFTER all was said and done Imu turned the tables and became the new king of the world and simply rewrote history.

When Joyboy and Imu came back to the Ancient Kingdom, they had a major disagreement. Joyboy was all for sharing the wealth and making peace with other kingdoms, while Imu wanted to dominate them all. The ancient kingdom people agreed with Joyboy & disagreed with Imu. After that Imu stole these super powerful ancient weapons and started spreading lies about how the Ancient Kingdom was evil and out to destroy everyone. People believed him, after Imu secretly used these weapons & manipulated the 20 kingdoms in thinking ancient kingdom used the weapons to destroy them and soon there was a huge war. Joyboy tried to stop it, but he didn't want to hurt anyone from the 20 kingdoms, so he couldn't fight back effectively. In the end, he lost to Imu, and the Ancient Kingdom fell. This person named Lilly, who was loved by both Joyboy and Imu, found out the truth about Imu's lies. She tried to expose him, but Imu couldn't risk it, so he got rid of her. - Kshitij Savla.

I think Lily was a part of Joyboy's crew, that's why she'd been to all the places where she sent the poneglyphs using her DF. Then she went back to her kingdom, just like Vivi did and became the Queen. After that Imu had her turn against Joyboy and fight him in the war. Imu probably must have chosen 18 people (one from each kingdom) who were willing to help his plan prevail. He replaced the original 18 monarchs( killed them) with his 18 minions and they helped him form the world government.

An evil force, represented by crocodile and his people, insidiously undermining the authority of a noble regime, so they can seize power in the bloody aftermath. 2.Present the current world structure as just and noble, or at least the best possible option. But gradually show how corrupt and broken it is through the protagonist’s journey of befriending people the system abused and ruined. However, never have average citizens protest against it because they’ve been so thoroughly brainwashed that they would accept that killing children was for the greater good if the government officials said so. 3. Some time later we get Doflamingo and his crew that have seemingly succeeded where crocodile failed. They overthrew the previous noble regime of Dressrosa and had near complete control of the land by the time Luffy and the others arrived. And in its place they formed a supposedly utopian kingdom that was in reality a dystopian nightmare like the larger world. Additionally, factoring in the numerous intentional parallels and similarities between the two arcs and the fact that doffy was a celestial dragon like Imu a pattern starts to emerge. 4. Finally, we reveal that the previous arcs were practice sections for the main event. Luffy’s journey of liberating smaller countries from such insidious forces was preparing him and foreshadowing to us in the audience that he would have to conquer the biggest insidious force that did what doffy did to Dressrosa but on the biggest scale. I say the logic checks out!

Nice video! There’s a line from someone at the start of Sabaody (i think hachi but can’t remember for sure) that each generation of Celestial Dragons has been worse than the generation before. This comes right when the Celestial Dragons are first introduced. Not to say that characters today would have had insight into Celestial Dragons 500 years ago or 800 years ago, but from the moment they are introduced Oda’s been planting seeds that these Celestial Dragons are worse than their ancestors Also, another though. Just like Crocodile did Alabasta because he wanted the ancient weapons, what if Imu did the same? Imu wants to flood the world, and if the ancient weapons can do that then Imu should have wanted them for that purpose (and maybe even used the ancient weapons to frame them, or even tricked Zunish into using them to frame him). There’s connective tissue to fill in here, but it seems to make a lot of sense

I think there's more to it. I highly believe Imu is the example of what happens when you fail to Awaken a Mythical Zoan. The entity within the Fruit takes over. And Imu had a Devil Fruit that had the power of the Devil itself. Imu failed to awaken his fruit, and the Devil took over. I feel like the fact that devil fruit users cannot swim and the fact that the world is sinking leaves a pretty obvious power up that is needed for luffy to have , and that is to be able to float or swim! also if you look at the mother flame its just floating there in the water and its been a few theories that Buffy will "eat" the mother flame so shat if when he eats it he gets the ability to go into water. Bank sake tells the story of Joy boy and the betrayal that imu did. So it starts out with Joy boy traveling the world and drinking sake with the other kingdoms. Then it continues to go on and discuss how Joy boy was. Then later betrayed and the oceans Rose every single time, one of the ancient weapons was used.

I feel like the truth might be a bit more complicated than that. I believe that the 20 Kingdoms fought together for a greater good, based on their own ideologies. It might be related to a resource like the mother flame, or to the rise of technology, just like the debate on nuclear weapons in the real world. I feel like Imu tricked the other kings after the war was won, and it might have been the plan all along, but I don't think he tricked about the reason to fight this war, it makes the other kings feel a bit dumb. What I'm concerned about is that Joyboy's side most likely had all three ancient weapons, but it seems that the 20 Kingdoms are guilty for the water rising, as the Gorosei say they want to finish the job. Uranus in particular had to have been built by the Ancient Kingdom. Was it stolen? I'm very interested in what happened there.

I think Imu wanted to take out Lily, but I think she became the founder of Amazon Lily to hide from the World Gov’t. It would make sense since it’s in the calm belt that was only recently accessible to the outside world. And it was protected by sea kings. If Lily and Joy Boy became Allies and Poseidon was also allied to Joy Boy, it stands to reason that they ordered the sea kings to protect the island.

The Gorosei also have to be in a part of smth. Maybe 6 families were actually evil, Imu and the 5 Gorosei’s familry, and the rest were manipulated. Meanwhile 2 families discovered the truth, the Nerfetari and the Donquixote. One tried to change things from the inside and lost it’s purpose, being the Donquixote, and one remained loyal to the cause, the Nerfetari.

Interestingly, Imu would have also needed the Gorosei (if they are from Void Century times as well) to back him up as well. Assuming each Gorosei is from a different 20-kingdom family, the conspiracy of the world of One Piece might have been between 6 of the original kingdoms while the rest were innocent.

It’s possible the ancient kingdom was hoarding the advanced technology and resources, and the other kingdoms were left with more primitive resources and decided to rise up against them. In the process they got their hands on one of the ancient weapons which helped them defeat the ancient kingdom and instead of using and spreading the technology through the world, decided to destroy and hide the technology in order to have greater control over the countries of the world

I don't know if I agree with all 20 Kingdoms being lied to by Imu. Some of them might've still been evil. Like the Donquixote Dynasty. The Tontata themselves said that, back then when the Donquixote used to rule Dressrosa, the Tontata were enslaved and abused by them. So I believe that only some Kingdoms were inherently good and led to believe they actually fought for a good cause.

Nah, I'm sure that a good amount of the 20 Kingdoms were just evil, take for example the Don Quixotes family who were already enslaving the Tontatas long before the Lost Century. Oda likes to sprinkle gray morality here and there, but in the end he always ends up going with the good old "Good VS Evil", especially when the Celestial Dragons are involved.
