I appreciate the civil work being carried out for connecting this geography through Railway network, but we should have opted for a dual track rather than the single train track that is being laid down now. In future it is difficult to lay a 2nd track, so, it should have been done now only. 2nd track will definitely help for movement of goods train. Single track will mean only passenger train movement.

government should invest more in east indian states rather than investing in kashmir because the east indians are more hardworking and most of them want to earn money by hardwork not by throwing stones at india's brave soldiers. The kashmiri people who favour some other rogue nations and throw stones on soldiers, should know that if indian army wants, it can conduct strikes like israel and us and finish these militant groups within a day, but it doesnt because indian army respects all type of animals including street dogs.

If India continues development in Kashmir and creates more job opportunities and improve standard of living, the problems will cease to exist because most people want peace and prosperity for their families. Because the Rock quality of Himalayan mountains are more like dust, the whole thing breaks. Then again suddenly very strong rocks come across. Before this process, the Russians and French have already tried and failed. Finally India has developed its own way through the mountains.

Tunnels are required not only for roads but also for water canals and Himalayan river diversions from 1). sutlez to patiala--kurukshetra- kota- narmada and Godavari basin via upper himalayan yamuna projects and tunnels and pipe lines. 2).Nepal range projects and pipe canals to south India 3). One tunnel and pipe lines required from brahmaputra river to haridwar. 4).tunnels and pipe lines required from patna and Calcutta to mahanadi basin and then to indravathi godavari and from there to nagarjuna sagar and Srisailam project to pothireddy padu- Telugu ganga project to Thirunalveni. These are some examples to link Himalayan rivers to south Indian rivers with some gravitation and sometimes lifting.

It is a great challenge to construct tunnels in a region like Kashmir. The construction method is limited to New Austrian Tunneling method which is more complex and time consuming. (Tunneling by using Tunnel Boring Machines becomes logistically uneconomical). Moreover soft soil condition (sedimentary silt stone) , permafrost under glaciers, harsh climate etc make it more difficult to construct a tunnel. Respect for ITD Cementation India Limited .

Good narration. Just love extreme projects ... even if China is monopolizing the mega-projects. Interesting to see how smooth-bore tunneling is achieved.

wow so many different comments regarding a lot of thing's..i probably just never read all the comments, so not sure if any one has mentioned the safety aspect..The region is mainly broken rock and sand witch tells you it's moving slowly..but you's want to build tunnels through 2 current slip lines of the rubble...(that is just crazy) a road would be a better Idea. not a Train that carries 1000's each journey..1 collapse or slip would be costly to India..and with the Earthquake risk in the region is it really that wise to build it. when the money could be put to use else where.

I see here most the people from north east saying kashmiris don't deserve this and that.. Guess what deserver everything... The land is illegally occupied by indian Armed forces making it the most militarised zone in the whole world.. The land belongs to kashmiris.. The construction work is done by companies based outside j and k Most of its engineers are from outside j and k rarely few from the state.. most of the local engineers with degree and work experience are ignored by local companies... Still all engineers are working in safe environment which proves that there are no terrorists to kill them or throw stones at them..nobody when born wants to become a terrorist or stone pelter but there are a lot of reasons why kashmiri youth is picking arms.. Istly the laws like (AFspa) Armed forces special powers act which gives right to any indian trooper be it an Army personel or bsf(border security force) or stf (special task force) or rr(Rashtriya rifels) and jkp (Jammu kashmir police) to arrest any person without any arrest warrant or to kill on doubt without any warning to search in any house even during midnight without any search warrants and to detain and take any person for interrogation... And (psa) public saftey act auder this act police can arrrest any person and put him behind the bars for years..without any bail... Then the use of pellet Guns which are also only legal to use against kashmiris countless Kashmiris are being blinded by indian armed forces daily.. recent victim being a 2 year old girl named hibba who was in her mothers lap at home when tyre gas and pepper gas shells were fired outside her house and pellets on her through the kitchen window... Touturing youtj on daily basis to the extent that there is no other choice than to pick arms and become a terrorist...pak makes full use of this situation creating more problems.. at the end of the day its a kashmiri who is suffering..and dying..( Army just wants bravery medals first by creating terrorists and then by killing them) No body throws a stone for money here the average kashmiri earns more than an average Indian. ... One thing is very clear by the comments the people of india have nothing to do with people of kashmir they just want to kill all Kashmiris.. (India is only intrested in the land of kashmir) Kashmir humara hai sb k muh se suna kbi kisi k muh se ye nhi suna kashmiri bhai b humara hai.. jb b kisi dusri state mei travelling k liye jaavo ya padhai k liye bss yehi sunney ko milta hai ye kashmiri hai terrorist hai jihadi hai pakistani hai..patharbaz hai Kisi ne ye nhi kaha ye b apna bhai hai.. ye b hindustani hai... Bc hotesls mei room nhi milta rehne ko agar bole kashmir se hai.. itna discrimination... Aur kashmiriyu ko dekho... Kaisey welcome krtey hai yatris ko tourists ko.. kaisey unki help krtey hai jb snow avalanches ya national highway pe log fass jatey hai.. Lekin nhi tum hindustaniyuu ko bs pathar aur terrorist hi dikheyge... Mei b ek engineer huu.. mei usbrl mei kaam krta huu haumaraey yaha ka staff mostly north east se hai.. Rakesh mohapatra sir hai prashant chetia sir wo yaha kaam kr rhe hai hum log bhaiyu ki tarah treat krtey hai unko... Kbi unse puchna kashmiri kya hai kashmir kaisa hai... News channel dekh dekh kr dimaag kharaab hua ha tum logu ka

Bhai app achche honge lekin Kashmir ne khud 1950s mein India ke saath judne ka faisla liya tha, bus hamare politician ne faltu giri kiya warna pehle se Kashmiri logon ko protection milta Pak se. Abhi toh bohot late hai. Pak ne already bohot infiltrate kiya hai, dono side se goli baari hoti rehti hai. Agar aapko lagta hai ki koi paison ke liye pathar phekna nahi karte hai aap bhi bewakoof hai aur aap lucky hai ki aapke nazdeek achche log hai. Aur agar paison ke liye nahi karte hai toh brainwashing ke wajah se karte hai. Kashmir pehle se India ka hi tha toh illegal occupation ki baat hi nahi hoti hai. In fact, Pak aur Chin illegally occupy kar rha hai. Ek baar sab developments ho jayenge toh sab Kashmiriyon ke liye bhi achcha hoga. Hoping for Kashmir to be developed quickly and for peace to be maintained in the region.

@@itsover9008 aapne shayad history nhi padhi kashmir ki kashmir was a princely ruled state even after indias independence kashmir was ruled by price hari sing son of previous ruler Maharaja Gulab sing and asked only indias help to stop pakistani troops from entering j&k through the eastern parts india agreed to send its troops for help and the refused to Go back tbb se yaha hi padhe hue hai.. Instrument of accession was signed after that.. Abi b un resolutions mei dekh lo kashmir ek disputed terrotiry hai.. @@muteenwani1694 Atleast you acknowledged that accession was signed. Then there's no dispute. And you know why it was signed. That's good too. The fact that the area has a lot of cease fire violations is what causes the problems for those in Kashmir.

@@muteenwani1694 You can't just remove the borders of your own country. Sikkim also integrated into India because they were being massacred just like Kashmir in the 1950s. You can't just give Sikkim away to China. Tibetans were also being massacred and they were also saved by our leaders. Regarding trade, we are already doing a lot of trade with both nations, only difference being that trade with the hostile nation is being reduced.
