I live near nalanda and my grandmother used to tell me that her grandmother told her that when the nalanda University was set on fire ...the books kept on burning for more than a month...😢 I think the biggest loss for our country was this....imagine what an immense knowledge we would have had at this present age ..I have visited that place now it is Nalanda Khandar and it leaves a huge load of curiosity within me that how the library would have actually been

Brother there were never caste barriers. It was position in the society. I used to think, Brahmins, Shatriyas and all were caste system. But that's absolutely wrong. Study the scriptures and you will understand. Brahmins name were given to those who acquire higher education knowledge, Shatriyas status were given to those who mastered the art of using weapons like swords, trishuls etc. Any one could do that. But yes saying so, there was nepotism as well among the rich individuals who didn't let the poor to come up in the rank. So caste system was a custom of the society but not religions.

I remember as a kid a show called Tipu Sultan used to be aired on Doordarshan. And in that he was shown as just a great warrior of India. His atrocities were never mentioned. And my parents and I believed this and thought he was great. This was on Doordarshan, government channel. So gives you an idea of how badly the previous government was on the side of the muslims and just wanted to appease them. Hindus didnt matter to them

Im from karnataka, we had a whole lesson about Tippu in our 6th grade. The name of the lesson was "Tippu - Tiger of Mysore". The lesson explained how great tippu was and how great his was technique was. But our teacher was conscious and he tried to put things into proper perspective. But my muslim classmates hated that teacher for saying bad things about tippu. Tippu is a shame
