It's not about him being an Indian. It's about how he accumulated that wealth. Most of the other billionaires on the list actually developed some new innovative technology that helped the world - such as Gates, Bezos, Musk, Jobs. Adani's conglomerate consists of old school industries much of which he expanded by receiving free land, resources, tax incentives, contracts from the government. There's not really anything special or extraordinary or inspirational about that. Besides, in the countries that these other billionaires experienced success, the populations also prospered. In India, the quality of life for middle and lower middle class and those below has diminished as many of these billionaires engaged in manufacturing, energy, mining do not adhere to CSG norms, polluting the environment and water. Many of these billionaires' families and children spend most of their time overseas, so they don't even care what happens to the environment in India, as long as they can profit from the use of the land.

Zero experience or not Adani has managed Indian airports very well. I’ve lived in Hong Kong and travelled all over the world for work and Mumbai airport is one of my favourites - managed by an Adani owned company. I’d say it’s on par with Shanghai and Singapore, which are also fantastic and definitely much better than western airports, which isn’t difficult considered most of them are pretty pathetic.
